Still have the original 1002 and want to upgrade to the latest. Where can I download the latest, there appears to be no reliable source to download it from. On the Avtech website they only have the AVC796A model not B. Any helps is appreciated. Also would like a copy of the 1002 in case the upgrade is more buggy so i can downgrade.

adding you to my ignore list, good thing i know how to use this forum feature!

Thanks for reassuring my assessment of your lack of reading comprehension. Does not take a genius to figure out your intent now. Go troll elsewhere, some peoples kids lol

Still does not answer my question about where to get these firmware files or what version is the latest, not sure why you keep stating the obvious about support, no one asked for support, but i guess reading comprehension is not your strong suit so forget it. Let me make it very clear to you, you don't need to respond to increase your post count with useless replies. Move along.

Did you simply omit the part where I asked about the Firmware version? I realize you are trying to help, I think, but I asked about firmware version, not upgrading the hardware or expecting a firmware is going to magically change analog to digital format. I'm simply looking for the firmware. I have found some old posts with 1014, but hard to say if they are compatible, also looking for the original version as well, whether it is 1011 or 1002 which ever part of the firmware nomenclature is used for naming convention. I already have a digital system FYI.

What part of my question gave you the impression I'm looking for a firmware to make an old dvr into new? I simply asked for firmware files. If you don't have them or know the source move along.

Looking at the details this is exactly what I have now. Not sure if this is considered 1002 or 1011 Firmware-Version=1011-1001-1005-1002

The current EagleEyes software for blackberry is terrible and results in a fuzzy pixelated stream. Does anyone know if the AVtech will be releasing a new software for Blackberry 10 models coming out? Thanks

I need to confirm b/c currently i have Email alerts and it works fine and i can check the playback at home. But at work the playback will not work since our firewall blocks everything. I do have the Player installed but even with the player installed at work i get ErrorNo:0 when trying to playback the email alerts in IE. My question is if i setup an FTP alert will it send the *.avc file and HTML link or just the HTML link? B/c if it sends the AVC file than I'm sure i can play it but if its just the HTML link like email alerts it will not do me any good. This is on a Avtech DVR 8 channel Thanks

This worked for a few seconds and crashed but I do have a question about setting this up so you can view multiple channels like all 8 or quad 4 channel format you can get if you are using the software?
-
Never mind got it working, it was right all long, i was testing it using the video loss feature and not motion detection. FYI

Guys i purchased an AVtech DVR which has email notifications but I have not had any luck setting up the email. I manually did some telnet commands and i know the gmail smtp.gmail.com server is working fine using two different ports and I even opened the ports on my router port forwarding not that it should matter and no luck sending emails no matter what settings i have. This is a h264 dvr no JPEG option but it should not matter as the specs stated it sends email alerts. I'm manually doing a test by disconnecting one of the video signals. The log shows the video loss but no email is sent.

Price tag match performance? & 200ft IR view distance?
jetspeedz replied to jetspeedz's topic in Security Cameras
I don't plan on buying this camera just wanted to see if you guys thought the price matched the performance. That kind of range is not what im after. I'm purchasing Speco or Pelco cams only -

That could be like you said if you don't have at least java version 1.6.x or newer it will complain but in my situation the clients are all updated with java but active X is disabled as you would find in most companies for security reasons. -

Java works fine. Just an issue of finding the right hardware. A rep called me back on the Hybrid Qvis system and that runs a couple thousand dollars for D1 and java based which is much more than i want to spend. -

with your problems i would leave you works pc and solve your problem with a iphone or android Java based viewer works just fine, no Phones allowed where i work either so you get the idea. I might just settle on 7fps although i would like more. -

jetspeedz replied to jetspeedz's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Agree, but where I work java is up to date so that is no an issue in my case. But you are absolutely correct. Qvis has a hybrid DVR that will meet my requirements but i don't know the cost yet. I requested an 8 channel version so im curious to see what the cost will be for an 8 channel variant. I might just have to settle on a 7fps 8 channel avtech or two 4 channels which just seems ridiculous.
