  1. Hello, As our new DVR doesn't support "Spot Out" a suggestion was raised that we use BNC "T' connectors - One end to feed the DVR, and the other to feed a BNC splitter so we can use a seperate monitor to view. Anyone ever tried this? http://www.frys.com/product/1852813?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG

Qvis 4 Channel DVR - Monitor and Spot

Is that "tour" occuring on one screen while the other screen shows the 4 view grid? Or are you saying that the Qvis device cannot use a second monitor to perform that task? Thanks
  3. Hello, I'm in the process of changing out a unit with a recently purchased 4 channel Qvis unit...the unit that's being replaced has two monitors connected to it: Monitor 1: 4 Channel Grid View Monitor 2: Rotates between all 4 cameras... How do I connect these two monitors to the Qvis/Dahua to accomplish the same task? I have one connected via VGA, and the other via BNC but they display the same image on both... thanks

Viewing More Than 4 Cams On Dahua

IP Cam Viewer for iPhone was recently updated last week - I use it to monitor 2 Dahua DVRs with no problem. It detects the devices as "AData Apollo" As a side benefit - works even better on an iPad with the larger screen real estate...
  5. Hello, I can't seem to fix this item....anytime a motion event is captured, I get 3 emails for each event. Each e-mail has slightly different content - I just care about the 1 e-mail with the snapshot. How do I turn off the other two? Example 1: Alarm event: Motion Detect Alarm input channel No.: 4 Alarm device name: localhost Sender IP address: 192.168.0.251 (This has the attachment, I want to keep these types of e-mails) Example 2: Alarm event: Motion Detect Alarm input channel No.: 4 Alarm start time(D/M/Y H:M:S): 10/12/2011 7:3:37 Alarm device name: localhost Sender IP address: 192.168.0.251 Example 3: Alarm event: Motion Detect Clear Alarm input channel No.: 4 Alarm stop time(D/M/Y H:M:S): 10/12/2011 7:4:8 Alarm device name: localhost Sender IP address: 192.168.0.251 All of these are tied to the same event - any ideas?
  6. Maybe I can talk the owner into ditching the Swann... In terms of quality and lineup...how much better is the Dahua? Is it midrange, on par with the Swann? Maybe I can use the incompatibility between the Swann and PSS as a reason to offload it. I'm sure there is a market for used DVRs. The owner is adamant about using one software to access all 3 locations. PSS looks much better than Video Server E, and some of the other Swann software I've used.
  7. It's a Swann SWDVK-162608..we've been able to get just about any client to connect to this unit...except for PSS...not sure whats so different about it.
  8. Hi, I'm new to the forums and am in the process of setting up 3 locations to be monitored from a centralized location. We have one existing location being served off a 16 CH Swann DVR, and the two other locations are about to be using Dahua units. From what I can tell the Dahua's use PSS for the PC software - will it be able to connect to the Swann 16 Channel DVR? Strangely enough - on our iPads an App (IP Cam Viewer) detects the Swann as an Eyemax unit if that helps any.
