that is correct. its only 62w max... The SG-300-MP should be the one that is full PoE on all ports

dont forget about the after sales service and support. U might get a cheaper price elsewhere but how quick will someone come out and fix your issue. Just remember you get what you pay for...

you cant go wrong with the Cisco SG-300-10P Switch - L3 - managed - 8 x 10/100/1000 + 2 x combo Gigabit SFP - rack-mountable - PoE Im pretty sure its 15w on each port too

Generally those LPR cameras filter out visible light and only allow IR light in. It looks like the IR is not bouncing back off the plates from the emitters. Try this. Take a plate off a car and walk in front of the camera holding the plate at different distances and see if the plate reflects the IR light. In Aus we have some custom plates that are non-reflective and I get a similar image, but on normal plates they glow even in the day time

Good NVR or IP cameras that support POS text overlay?
skomo replied to qkumbr's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Avigilon can do POS transactions. Text can be overplayed and you can also search through the transaction list... http://www.avigilon.com/company/press/220909.htm Also cameras are 12vdc 24vac or PoE -
Go IP. I would highly recommend Avigilon. It ticks all boxes. And can do both IP and Analogue D1. It all depends on lighting, use motion lights or IR to better the image if its not good enough. With Avigilon you can start with just analogue with their encoders and add IP later. If you go cheap and dont get the image you want, then why install cheap in the 1st place? Start with a budget and get a quote to that budget and see what you can get for it... correct. Dont go cheap and expect everything from each camera. Each camera should have at most 2 tasks to achieve. Dont expect 1 camera to do everything... Avigilon is the easiest VMS I've ever used. Their search features are amazing. I wouldnt recommend anything else. Also with the gateway you can view and playback on your phone. Hope that helps

ive got a rep from http://simpro.com.au/ coming this morning to show me their product. i will let you know what i find. ps i think this is in australia only cheers

try this. Im in australia so i got them through someone that imports those. http://dataprobe.com/iboot-remote-reboot.php I've used a couple of these on a few sites. You can run the watchdog software on the pc and/or have the iboot ping the nvr. I have it setup for both, but make sure on the ping you allow enough time for the nvr to start up otherwise you will end up in a reboot loop. Cheers, Ash

IR Illuminator Interferes with PIR Motion Detector?
skomo replied to dvarapala's topic in General Digital Discussion
Yes the Raymax will cause the interference. You could always try to use an outdoor alarm PIR that also has a Microwave detector to do the motion detection and wire that into a relay on the light. The Bosch OD850 Series Outdoor TriTech Detector has a feature where you can set it so that either PIR or Microwave will trigger the contact. Just a thought... http://products.boschsecurity.com.au/en/AU/products/bxp/SKU26265601392971313291-CATM94e42974ba808ed700e2d4978c3cc557 -
Camera Brand Advice, Pelco, Avigilon, or another?
skomo replied to threed's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Avigilon rackmount NVR's are a variant of a 710 dell server, but it is not the same as any you can buy from dell (from what i have been told) I tell my clients that the NVR hardware is designed and tested by Avigilon, but built and warrantied by Dell. They come with the top warranty which is the 24/7, 4hr onsite response. To get prompt technical help, (if you ever need it) I recommend using their hardware so you dont get the buck passing. Once you go Avigilon you will not look back.
