Great camera during the day BUT Distorted image at night
joseph.chen0312 replied to cctvhelpuk's topic in Security Cameras
You can try hook up camera with monitor withput DVR then to see how it is. If the phenomenon still exist it means camera is defective intially. By contrast, if it works well, you may try another port of DVR to look. -

Or you can access OSD menu to find out mirror or flipping then set it you may slove this problem. -
Yes you can relase two screw to adjust Far/Tele; near/Wide. I am not certain its 2MP lens or not because some supplier equipped 2M P lens to their camera. And inline cable is called OSD control cable, you can set up parameter which programmed/released from supplier.

Low Bandwidth System Design Question
joseph.chen0312 replied to Joseph Schrag's topic in System Design
In my opinion, its not difficult for set up the systems on premises. Basically, all depends on transmit interface, xDSL modem, and 3G/2.5G/2G modem between decentralised spot/palce and central monitoring room. With regarding recording server I think DVR is affordable to do this work. As long as you concerned, the lower speedFPS at good quality, you just set up resolution in high quality but lower fps. Then you can plackback and/or backup to view all footage or event at head place. Another way is deploying VPN then you can pitch and catch all data via specifi path you default. But preliminary is you are versed in networking and VPN structure. May I know how far in those scattering spot to head place? If distance is within in some gadget device, here I may recommend you carry out more hassle-free. -

Is this a good surveillance system to buy?
joseph.chen0312 replied to silentz's topic in General Digital Discussion
I think those camera overall is ok in day time but you can refer to night time and you will finding out something like falling star at right side in footage. As well, i think 2TB is affordable to gobble 8 units 1080P data unless the NVR is recording in D1 or lower resolution. ( Most cheap packge is commonly play this hat trick). But you are fine for price offered so nothing complain. -

wtb new dvr is this one any good ????????
joseph.chen0312 replied to wkdwrx's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi You could try other resolution camera e.g. 420, 520 or 600tvl you may finding out difference from 700tvl. As you pointed out DVR is D1 but you hook up 700tvl as I presumed. Actually, 700tvl camera is more width than D1 so its called WD1. We have learned if you connect those two device it may caused distort and abberation in DVR display. Hence, you may get some 700tvl ( 960H/WD1) dedicated DVR and you will seeing better as you expect. -
This is my layout, now what should I choose
joseph.chen0312 replied to evocctv's topic in System Design
As you elborated your thread for you prefer to camera inward so its not difficult to deploy but only conceren that window is arround the house, you may consider carry out those indoor camera which programmed WDR & DNR function. With regarding cabling, you better check how is decoration inside and which is cost conduit pipeline not highly manpower in trench notch. If it has been mapped conceal pipeline I recommend you coaxail cable then cat 5. -

I agree with Toss, if you want to aim the entrace/front door, you better check does sun Up or down will spreading lighting via door? If you want to aim front door you may relocate position to toward door. -
Firstly, yo ucan check does IR is turn on even at the day time? I guess it there are two reason may cause that, one is lighting sensor(CDS) is broken so it makes IR long time turn on and flowing high heat increasely then casue high noise. If CDS is fine so probably is bugging initial design in IR heat is can not cool down, therfore caused high noise.

Actually, this is we call F connector not BNC. As for you want to hook up camera to computer, I think you could get one "video grapper" or "Video capture card" -
Hardware factory reset for DVR?
joseph.chen0312 replied to hawkinau's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hello Don't you have post a link for download firmware isn't it? I mean you just reload to DVR then to check how is it? And you better check does it has been altered at camera color setting/video setting in DVR manual. I.e. Brightness, sharpness, HUE, saturation and contrast. You may try to adjust for is there anything change. -
Seeking design, layout, equipment advice for small company
joseph.chen0312 replied to Guv's topic in System Design
I think crucial key si not only narrow FOV but also need through the glass window particularly in Sun up and down the sun light toward to inside. Basically, I recommend carry out some good OSD camera equipped auto Iris vari-focal lens( 2.8~12 or 5-55 because how is size there so I only can suggest popular type). The camera should be programmed WDR, HLC, slow shutter and etc. Hence, its not only monitoring scene but able to catch vehicle license. As for two decentralized room to view, its small issue, you could installing one DVR which built-in multi-output i.e. HDMI, VGA and BNC and better supported spot function. I hope my thread is help to you. -

Hello You may check with http://www.videcon.co.uk/uploads/files/kpcs190_range_datasheet_1.pdf but the board lens is limited to 8mm. I guess it is constrainted in casing because all initial conception is delineating minimum to maxmum lens is geared.

You may considering to carry out 960H (WD1) DVR which is dedicated supported 960H CCD. You can compare with 960H with D1 and you will finding out the horizonal resolution mor wider than D1.
