Effective Pixels: PAL 792(H)X698(V) NTSC 768(H)X494(V) Horizontal Resolution: 1000TVL. I really do can't believe that, recently some supplier has provide SONY IMX 138( 1920*720P) + FH8520( China DSP) and claim reach upto 1200TVL, do you beleive that? even better than 1080P.

I think there are may some other way you may consider for taking into account. One is install a RFID reader at entrance of driver way and when reader perceive RFID tag on car it will triggering the DVR/NVR to snapshoot. Or two Active PIR BEAM sensor at entrance when you car is break through IR Prism the device also triggering the recording device.

Protocol to Interface to Linux Based DVR's
joseph.chen0312 replied to rossconz's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hello Ross, First of all, I misunderstanding your orginal thread but clear now for check again. I think HDD droping off DVR most likely is hardware issue not for remote software NEMON. As you mentioned it get more less after you install UPS. So I assume there are may some factor may caused that Phenomenon. One is power current is not stable and spike/surge to effect the DVR so why I ask you does UPS has incorprated auto voltage regulator (AVR). Second, is how is temeprature over there, if sunlight is too high to DVR retain operation. Then you can check HDD mode to default over-write otherwise when HDD is stuff fulled then it would be stop. Finally, I have check specification of DVR, I think you can install mobile phone apps to remote view the real-time scene. I hope these info has value for you. -

Protocol to Interface to Linux Based DVR's
joseph.chen0312 replied to rossconz's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hello Ross, In the light of you described scene, I assume most likely is power current cause those abnormal conditions. As you mentioned after you install UPS then mitigated it happens. I was wondering which type of car you install that and how many power voltage supply out cigrate plug, does UPS has euipped AVR and how is power capacity at UPS? Another issue are you on or off the DVR when turn off enginee? -
Now I see what you want is car black box camera. The one is so so if you want more power go to GoPro. And typically, NANY camera is design for covert and/or disguised type. Anyway appreciate your comments and instruction.

8 channel video processor? - land mobile robot (AGV)
joseph.chen0312 replied to GodG's topic in System Design
Hello, you may check this company whos is dedicated to developing automation solution as well as AGV. http://www.advantech.tw/default.aspx -
There are some issue you may take care, 1. is you better geared for lightening-proof. 2. is wired STP type cable and wear plastice pipeline. If you want to capture LP you can consider some items which functioned OSD and equipped Auto Iris DC Lens. But How are distance form camera spot to car?
-
f=2.8~122mm Auto Iris and DC would be fine at this case. And I do not think contraint IP is only choice even analogue will perfrom more well than Megapixel.
-
The company has been over 10 years in the security poor. Not as guy says knockoff, they just consign some one supplier to produce products for them. The specification most is ok only I was wondering about "Resolution: 700+ TV lines (Eclipse rating), 800+ TV lines (Industry rating)" Basically, I do not think so SONY has released 800+ TVL solution. And you better consult with rep for any footgae to see it perform all day particularly in NOON and Middle night.
