I have a friend that owns a building and rents out the space. The company that rents the space doesnt want anything connected to their network. My friend wants an ip camera system. I was thinking of a router and switch, but not connecting the router to the network but just using it to hand out ip addresses for the cameras. I want to confirm this will work, in this self contained system.... Router >> switch>> cameras ^NVR

Dahua based IP cam problem
Zohan replied to Zohan's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I have the 1.3 mp eyeball.....and yes it's odd i get that message with only 1 camera....I'd like to start using these but not if this is going to happen, and with only 1 camera going Main stream bit rate is set to 4036 or something like that. I've also tried 6144. On another note the settings seem to change by themselves once in a while.....but that's the secondary problem.... Thanks -

I will have either 4 or more ip cams, with an nvr and the nvr hooked up to a display for real time viewing. I thought the router was need to hand out ip's.....So it would still work without the router, just assign ip's to the cams? Then connect to nvr and there would be no issues with the nvr displaying all the cams on the display monitor? Thanks

commercial project have to put in a couple of cameras, most likely in the girders....how do you guys mount cameras in this situation? thx

Anyone have hands on with this and can give me a yay or nay for this camera? How does it compare with a CNB LDM-24VF? thx

ok, excellent info. Thanks

Have to add 2 cams to a retail shipping store. 1 of the cams will be looking at the entrance door and window, all glass / bright sun. Was thinking CNB with WDR but after reading a post by rory I am rethinking...he states the monalisa chip cnb cams using the blc setting performs better than the wdr cams. I was originally looking at the CNB-DBB-34VF, but now looking at the CNB-LBM-24VF.... opinions either way?

Hmmmm...interesting....I will play with the settings a bit and check it out

Thanks matt....the 'snapshot' feature is a camera symbol in the webviewer (internet explorer) or i can also do it from their program 'remote console'.....Other than that I haven't seen any settings or a different way to do it. Maybe I will give TS a call to double check.
-
the pics i posted are of taking snapshots first through the web viewer interface and saved to my desktop, then the last one was taken through the remote console and saved to desktop. Then each one uploaded to photobucket and linked. There are other ways to take snapshots?
-
Are you sure that cameras in focus??? It should be alot better than what your getting. There seems to be alot of lines in it, interlacing issue, interference?? Maybe just the lines in the deck and railing throwing me off or something. I use photobucket and it doesnt scale my pictures at all... tomorrow i will go and check it out..... it should be better correct?
-
that pic looks a little better saved on my desktop before i upload to photobucket and link to it from here....how do i do an export from dvr, i thought thats what i did when i took a snapshot?
-
It SHOULD be a lot better than that. Do you have a still that hasn't been up-scaled? not really sure how to do that....i just brought up that camera then took a still shot. Do I have to change settings in dvr, it is recording at d1
-
i Not very clear. Is the live view better? i know, thought the cnb would be pretty good since a lot of people here say good things.....im a little dissapointed at this point

Where you guys buying the CNB's from? Thanks Dwg security
