I have a Dedicated Micros D4A DVR and i need help i used the ridgecrop fat32 formatter and copied the firmware over to the drive When powered up the unit will unpack and install the firmware then it will reboot then go through all the screens and stop at a blank screen (No Menus Or Text) I have tried letting it sit for some time but eventually the hard drive goes to sleep What is causing it to stop booting?

make sure you have enough power at the camera i had the same problem and it was because i was only using one pair in the cat5 when i doubled it up it worked fine
-
if the camera has alarm out then it would be used to trigger a alarm or display a message on the screen

I recently purchased 3 pan tilt heads with cameras mounts and control equipment they were once ip but the encoders are so old no one has software for them just got round to putting it on the pole so i hooked up a keyboard, monitor and power and they do work although only b/w but i have a colour camera on order I made a album with a pics for everything can't wait to get my 16ch dvr working at the moment i have a avtech 4ch mpeg4 dvr but i need more cameras than that has anybody herd of the installers "Lee Dickens Limited mpa cctv" google tells me nothing about them but this camera is probbably 12 years old now so the company might of gone bust when i bought these the guy said the had been used in the falklands war I don't know if thats true

yes true and still getting updated. Thank you for telling me can't believe they came all the way from falklands to kent UK they have been on a long journey and will now sit on the poles happily for a long time hopefully

it looks like you would have to pay for vidos i would think about it but what if it's incompatible money lost? why is the no free trial to see if my videojet is compatible? i am not wasting any money on bosch software if it is not compatible the bosch video client is not so i doubt vidos is ether -

the quality is ok it's just the camera is not focused properly and i put low quality settings on to see if maybe they where too big and too frequent but i still get glitches like that also the image is compressed so it would not lag out peoples computer and/or be too slow at browsing -
I bought this pelco spectra ii used it all works fine but when it it pans it makes a grinding noise and nocks it self out of alignment so presets are useless and so is camera when you cant pan it just sticks. i have another pelco spectra ii wich does the same but only in one spot i took it apart and cant see anything thats grinding. What would cause this to happen?

you might be correct i just noticed that the camera has cracks all around the screw holes and one big crack down the side i'll probably send it back if the ebay seller agrees that i wasn't broken when it left him
