Good [insert appropriate time of day here]
I'm Jeff and I'm a resident of Brisbane in Australia. I stumbled across this forum via Google.
They refer to me as a Business Systems Specialist where I work, but I haven't quite figured out what they mean by that title. I'm more of a tinkerer than a specialist, and I usually create VB programs and Access databases, test a custom application provided by an external vendor, assist with Production support of that application, and do anything else that seems like a reasonable idea at the time.
In my spare time I grow hot chillies (Habanero, Naga Morich and Trinidad Scorpion Butch T) and play the guitar. It's the latter pastime that has caused my security concerns because I have a dozen guitars and several amplifiers that, although insured, I'd much rather keep in my possession if that's OK with the miserable bastards who've broken into three neighbouring houses in the last couple of weeks.
I'll be having a monitored alarm system installed some time next week, which can't come too soon, but I thought that a battalion of security cameras might be good for a laugh. In a nutshell, that's why I'm here.
It's unlikely that I'll be a regular or valuable contributor, but here I am anyway.
