  1. Hey all, I've been trying to setup these cams to work on my Android for weeks now and i STILL can't figure this out. I've been trying IP Cam Viewer and gDMSS Lite but neither are working for me. I have 5 of the Dahua IPC-HDB3200C Hi Def 2 MP MegaPixel Outdoor Mini Dome IP Cameras I was told I can not use the same port for any of the cameras, so this is what I did so far: Cam IP 192.168.10.107 TCP: Original 37777 to 37802 UDP: kept the same HTTP: kept the same RTSP: kept the same Tried it in the apps, nothing, so then i tried: Cam IP 192.168.10.107 TCP: Original 37777 to 37802 UDP: kept the same HTTP: Original 80 to 8081 RTSP: kept the same Tried it in the apps, nothing, so then i tried: Cam IP 192.168.10.107 TCP: Original 37777 to 37802 UDP: kept the same HTTP: kept the same at 80 RTSP: Original 80 to 8081 I also went in the Router and opened each of these ports and still nothing. Ideas? Thanks all!

    Recording with PSS

I've been running AXXON for almost a month now on my system. It overrides the settings in the camera itself so you set everything up right in AXXON. The motion detection and config of cam's work great. I've had it setup for exactly 24 days, and I have all 24 days recorded (via motion) on a 900gb drive. Not sure how much I have left or when it's going to start recording over itself though. Only have a couple issues with AXXON, it's slow and a bit laggy when looking at it live and recorded. It's irritating. Plus they do not have an app for Android.... PLUS PLUS in order to view it from another PC outside the network with the Client software you need to setup a VPN. And OMG that is extremely slow, i'm talking, start AXXON, come back in 10 minutes and hope you have a visual at least 1 cam. Not even moving, just at least a screen shot.
  3. Hi all, I have a set of 5 IP cameras running on a server at my shop, I am using the AXXON software to run it. When I install the Axxon Client software on my laptop on connect wirelessly while in the shop, it automatically sees the server and connects. However, when I bring my laptop home it does not connect (obviously). Instead of the servers name (which is what it looks at while on the network) I can input an IP address instead. So I input the IP of the WAN the server is on (found via IPChicken.com) and try to connect... it does not. The router the server is connected to is a Trendnet TEW-652BRP if that makes a difference. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

Help with what VMS to use...

    I've got 5 of the Dahua IPC-HDB3200C
  5. As I am new to IP cameras, I know everything should be running better if I knew all about the correct settings for them... I've been working with the Axxon VMS.... but it just dosent seem to be what I'm looking for. I built a new system for the IP camera system so it can handle anything... I also have 950gb hdd to fill up. I have the Axxon setup to just record on motion so I have a good amount of record time. However I need a system that I can tap into via Android phone and my home PC. Axxon does not have an Android app to to use with it... which is fine, I can use a regular IP Camera viewer app but they all need to know the IP of the network (which has to stay Dynamic not static). So that is a huge pain. Ideas on what I can do? Thanks all for the help!
  6. Yes I just built this system and can handle it with no problem. Trying to figure out how to setup the recording archive is aggravating though.
  7. Hey all, Setup my 5 new cameras . And am currently trying to configure AXXON Smart Start as the software. My questions are, how do I view the Axxon software remotely over the internet? (Their Client software looks like it needs to be installed on other PC's that are already on the same network as the server and not through the internet) And how do I view the Axxon via Android device? I tested out Milestone but it only records 5 days and when trying to configure it, all the video feeds would always drop and be super choppy... Axxon is nice and smooth feed but trying to figure out how to configure all of it is a PITA. Thanks all for the help!
  8. Nice. For cams 7,8,9 inside the building... what do you think the height of ceiling was you installed the cam's to? Looks around 15'?
  9. I put nine of the 2MP domes in a professional building last month to replace a bunch of analog domes that were vandalized or stolen. Six in underground parking and three in the lobby area and they look GREAT. That was an "emergency" job and they had no problem shipping overnight. Also ordered four of their 3MP box cams for a public works yard, those are all working well. They've been great to deal with, and everyone else here who's bought from them will say the same... I don't think they're going anywhere any time soon. Even the spec sheet for the camera is gone from the site... just a couple of paragraphs now. I cant remember, were you able to choose what lens you wanted on these? Or no? And I thought there was mention about them adding IR to the cameras as well... have you heard anything about that? Also, what software did you use for all 9 of them? Thanks again!
  10. Finally getting the shop completed and need to start ordering the cameras. I thought the Evesurv cameras were the best of the bunch for $200 range via everyones posts on here... so I came on here to get the link off the side of the page... and it's gone. doh! Found their site but it looks like it's been through the ringer compared to fully operational like last month. Anyone have any experience with ordering from those guys? I dont want to order up some cameras and they screwup within a year... contact the company and they be out of business.

UTP or STP CAT6 cable for 2mp setup

No I have not gotten any cable yet. There really is not price difference in the cables so my choices are Per 50' roll Cat5e Cat6 UTP +$1.20 Cat6A STP +$7.50 In my last shop there were always network issues... and in the 5 years could never figure it out. Changed out all the PCs, the cables, the switches... everything... and still issues. Only thing we could figure was that there must have been interference from the lighting/fridges/electrical lines running all over the place. However this shop will only have 1/4 of the fridges/lights/electrical. This shop I want perfect from the start.
  13. Hey all, to continue with my other post about what cameras to get for a new well lit sandwich shop... using the Dahua 2mp cameras... all forwarding into a Gigabit switch, which type of CAT6 cabling should we go with? UTP or STP? As far as interference I have a couple of commercial refrigerators and the place is lined with drop-in florescent lighting (drop ceiling). Thoughts?
  14. My shop will have a good amount of lighting throughout so this should work pretty well then...
  15. Soundy, how was the overall testing?
