Just upgraded to the new software and it seems the video out is not working. Everything else seems to be ok. Any ideas? Added: Im using a 1240-8 Just in case. Also, Any way to output 4 different camera feeds to their own ip address from the security server? I have another application on a mobile q that allows viewing of multiple cameras with IP.. Any ideas there also? Thanks Much!!

Rory, That looks like a worthy choice also, I need to find its price too. The only difference in specs is the Mechanical IR Cut filter. I dont see that for the Eclipse. How do you suspect the picture woul be different? Thanks

We'll back to the kids room.. Definately going to need IR in these rooms. I have had a look at most recommended. Thanks to you all that have attempted to help me. Looks like the right choice would be the Nuvico NVCC-SDD4N-AI-L This camera looks really good on all the specs I have been taught to look for from this site. Anyone used this camera? I definately need the IR version and the lens only comes in 4mm. I plan to mount the domes in the corner ceiling so I hope to get full room coverage. Here is a link to the specs. http://www.digitalwatchguard.com/securitycameras/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=585&idproduct=1675 Price seems to be really good @ $267.00 I also like the Everfocus ED350 which has great specs also but lacks the IR that will be needed. http://www.everfocus.com/Product%20HTML%20Pages/ED350.htm

Very Nice camera... Pretty pricey @ 450 a pop for sure though.. This is beyond my budget. Im considering this camera NVCC-SVD4N-AI-L $259.00 http://www.nuvico.com/upload/doc/NVCC_SVD.pdf

Here is a photo of the front walkway. Camera wire is located to the left of the door, dome will be ceiling mounted. Walkway to driveway is about 15 feet. I also have a straight view out to the sidewalk also but not trying to get out there. I want to see whos at the front door primarily. My lights are about 5 feet in front of the door and are activated by motion sensor to the right. I wanted IR for extra protection just in case someone is messing around out there and splits when the lights turn on.

Thanks for the reply Wachund, Funny, you mentioned that because I ran into that post and it immediately shook me. Also, I have searched high and low (google, yahoo) and it doesn't seem that Mace products are carried by alot of folks. I started looking at Nuvico offerings, I ran into this model and like the specs but way over my budget. OUTDOOR BULLET IR CAMERAS / NVCC-HWE922IR42N - Looks like its about $400 each online. http://www.nuvico.com/product_detail.asp?strCategoryCD=CC001&strModel=OUTDOOR%20BULLET%20IR%20CAMERAS&prod_cd=NP0038&Page=1 My major priority is the kids room right now. Can anyone recommend good color dome cameras for the kids room with ir? My top end budget for these cams will be lets say $400.00 each. I don't want to sacrifice with the kids. In the meantime, I will take a look at everfocus and american dymanics offerings. Thanks Alot, I appreciate your response.

Hmm, was there something wrong with my question? I had been hoping someone could jump in and give me some direction. We'll, just in case, I got the DVR card installed and wow does it work good. Used the TV out of the card into our distribution system and my wife says the picture is way better already with the current dome camera we were using. Anyways, I would like to get some experienced guidance before a plunk down on camera. I have been searching forums like crazy and it seems the Mace camera line should work ok for me. Front Door - I was thinking the CAM-68, CAM-77 or CAM-95. Backyard - (2) CAM-76 Kids Room, Maybe just use dome cameras? Mount one over the crib in infants room and one in the corner for my 2 1/2 year olds room. Maybe a CAM-68.. Thanks Again for any advice that can be offered. Anthony

Great Pic, I was considering using this camera at my front door location. Overhead mount and my walkway is about 10ft to door. My only concern is lighting, I have lights that are activated by motion. I think I need something with IR also. Any suggestions on a dome (vandal type ) color w/ir for a resedential application. Thanks

Great Forum, already learning from searching for a couple weeks now. Thanks for any help. Currently only have 1 camera running in my house now. It was a dome camera with audio above the baby crib. No ir and terrible in the dark. Audio was also terrible. Never stopped using the wireless baby monitors. I had the camera w/audio running directly into a Russound audio/video system which worked great. I have 12 zones and camera was viewable from any tv in the house. I now have a second one (baby) coming next week and my wife wants me to finish the security on my newly home built home I finished 2 years ago. I have my home ready for camera's already. I have (Front Door, Front Driveway from 2nd Story, Both kids room, two backyard locations from 2nd floor) Figure total of 6 cameras. I decided to purchase a GV-1240-8 since I had a P4- 3.0 lying around. I will run video out from card into the russound system and get the remote control so I can pass ir through russound system for screen changing views. Looks like the only disappointment is that I can't do split screen w/audio from both rooms together? Not sure about split screen but it looks like standalones dont do that also. Anyways, to the camera's. I was thinking for the backyard, (2) CAM76-CIR the backyard is pretty big with a pool. I figure that I can adjust the lens to get the view I would like. Front Door I was thinking CAM68-CIR. Front driveway view from second floor I was planning on adding later because I think it would be cool to put in a PTZ camera. On the kids room I really need suggestions. New baby I would like to put a new dome over the crib with ir and run external audio and my older daughter is 2 1/2 now so I want to ditch the dome camera and now put a camera in more toward the corner of the room to get a full view. Their rooms are about 15x15. Thank you very much. I forgot to mention that I already have all camera locations wired with rg59+power and cat5e.
