  1. Anyone have any good suggestions on a decent Megapixel PTZ with IR. That would be compatible with my Dahua NVR. Budget around $500 I like the Dahua http://www.dahuasecurity.com/products/sd6980-6981-hn--35.html but it is a little out of my budget at $1500 Here's the area I want to cover with the PTZ. It is about 230feet to the back fence and 100ft wide With the lights off of course.

Wouldn't something like this work http://www.ebay.com/itm/IP-Wireless-WebCam-Camera-Cam-WiFi-WPA-LED-Night-Vision-PTZ-Dual-Audio-Network-/320944138997?pt=US_Security_Cameras&hash=item4ab9c2eaf5
  3. If you really want to catch someone I would pick up a few Dahua IP cameras you don't have to have a DVR. Just a computer with decent software like blue Iris $50 or Pss, comes free with the cameras. You can find a dahua IR bullet camera 1.3MP for $184 on ebay. This is the Dahua 2MP dome camera that I bought for $184 Here is the link for more about the dahua and how it compares to analog cameras viewtopic.php?f=19&t=32322&p=201570#p201570
  4. White sticker over the top of it or white ducktape . IDK I'm interesting in buying this camera. How do you like it so far? Once you get it installed could you do some day and night shots
  5. Thank you. I upgrade the firmware. And we will see tonight I will post up some pictures
  6. Thanks for your reply anyways I guess I will rename this "My analog camera vs.." notice I also said budget ip camera. I guessing your analog camera that blows mine away probably cost twice as much as mine if not more then my ip camera. Im open for a better ip camera then what I got for under $185. Thanks for your concern though. Aside from my analog ptz which is superb at night and is more expensive, all my analog cameras are under 100 bucks- most around 60-70 bucks. Same budget, but not the same results. I can't speak to IP or MP cameras for suggestions. Your night shots of the camera, coupled with lots of troubled night shots I see along the way, is why I have no problem sticking with analog. And whether IP/MP or analog, personally I would steer clear of dome cameras with IR inside. Too much risk of IR reflection issues ruining the picture. Yea I miss my expensive PTZ also It did really good at night and it didn't even have IR lamps. nNSB1WbwcDY
  7. And I just fixed it. All it was is I had to run Internet Explorer as Administrator I feel silly now but I guess I can keep it for people that might run into the same problem. Sorry guys these are my first IP cameras I've had.
  8. I recently bought a IPC-HDB3200C Dahua mini Dome and when I log in through my web browser when I click live feed I get nothing but a blank page sometimes it cause IE to stop responding. It works fine on PSS and my NVR but when I connect to the camera directly I can't get a video. I can adjust the Mirror option and the Flip but can not adjust the brightness, contrast or WDR BLC settings. I have tried 2 different computers and both of my cameras. Same thing on both
  9. Yes you must upgrade your firmware. Empire Security did mine.

  11. The installation went really easy. It was a simple one hole drill with 3 screws holding the camera to the eve. Hardest part was crawling in the attic all the way to the edge of the house on my stomach. Straddling the two 2x4's so you wont fall through the ceiling of the garage.
  12. I bought the Dahua NVR 3216 from them received it in 2 days. Packed well. When I went to use the PoE port it did not work so I messaged them and within 2mins I received a reply back saying that my NVR needed a firmware update. I wasn't sure how I was going to do this. So he messaged back said that he could do it right now if I give him the HTTP port and TCP port on my NVR with my external Ip address. So I did. Within 5 mins my DVR was updating itself. Restarted and my POE Ports work. That fast plus this was like a 11PM at night. I was shocked I thought for sure I would have waiting till the next 1 or 2 business days to even hear a reply but no. I'm really happy with them.
  13. Hello fellow CCTV Members. I would like to say I have finally step into the world of IP Cameras and I must say I am quite impressed so far. Going to go ahead and apologise for making this post so large. I couldn't find away to make the images side by side. Here is my Empire security 700TVL Esc-2 3.6mm 24IR camera. Cost 65$ Recorded with 16Ch Nightowl Zeus @D1 Night time Shot This is a Dahua 2MP mini Dome bought from Empire security cameras for $184 2.8mm Lens SD card slot and 30FPS @1080P Another thing I love about this camera that is is soo tiny. Can hardly see this camera and with the dome you can not tell which way the lens is facing too. Click for full resolution. T22P_M2leqM The firmware update didn't do much I did go in and adjust the exposure and gain my self. I still will replace this one with a IR camera soon. Makes for a really clean install. Heres is my new bullet I got to replace my analog camera in the backyard. IPC-HFW2100 also from Empire security. Analog ESC-2 2vJ0yXQx9vo IPC-HFW2100 tky3ZoXmY_8 Analog ESC-2 a3JurbbXiLs
  14. Thanks man for the link to the player! Only one problem for me is when playing back my videos about ever other 20-30 videos I get the "not responding message" and I have to reload the whole thing. I dont know what is wrong with it.
