Old topic, but I have a few suggestions unless you've already tried these. Uninstalling GeoVision will not delete all files and registry. So try one of these two; 1. Search for Passuninstall.exe - this GV .exe should uninstall whatever your password is. Not sure if your version of GeoVision has this option. 2. Delete registry values. You need to make sure you delete the right ones.

Hello, Looking to set up an AXIS 233D camera with 2-way audio, so somebody at a computer can communicate with people behind the building. Requested by building management. AXIS camera -> switch -> network with NVR and other PCs. This specific camera has the follwing i/o terminal ports for Line/Mic In, GND, Line Out, GND, 12V OUT, GNC/DC-, AC/DC+, AC. If anybody has any previous knowledge of 2-way audio or other ideas for products, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your time.

According to the data sheet for both, they only support up to 64gb. http://www.hikvision.com/UploadFile/image/2014030617394252141.pdf http://www.hikvision.com/UploadFile/image/2014040816000238859.pdf

IP Cam not showing on network.
kolson88 replied to victorb's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Perhaps you set a static IP on the camera and that's why it's not showing up on your new network. Try restarting the camera to factory defaults. Should be a restart button on there somewhere as the previous poster mentioned... -
What do you believe is the best/most efficient or your favorite DVR software that supports most 3rd party cameras whether it's for home or business? Try not to be biased.

I would suggest a larger HDD but you should be OK.

I believe if forces you to use ONVIF.

Alright, so after reading my previous post, my question sounds kind of confusing. After some searching, I found this FAQ post on the AXIS website that helps a little. http://www.axis.com/techsup/faq/index.php/?action=artikel&&cat=175&id=115871&artlang=en&highlight= I'm able to set my default view in my web browser to panorama. My only problem is that when I add the AXIS M3007 to my GeoVision NVR, it still shows the fish eye view. Anybody know how to fix this?

Using GeoVision NVR and trying to implement an AXIS M3007-PV. I'm familiar with a handful of other AXIS cameras, but this one is giving me a little trouble. I think I'm just being stupid and missing something very small. The default view for M3007 is basically a "fisheye" view. I want GeoVision to be viewing the Panorama or any other kind of view. How do I change that? In the http interface, it gives you a dropdown menu on the main screen, but I assume that's just for http live view purposes. There has to be something in the setup menu that I'm missing to make the camera default to a certain stream profile/view. Also while adding M3007 into GeoVision, there's no selection for M3007 in the drop down menu. I was thinking maybe it was under Protocol > ONVIF, but after some quick research M3007 doesn't even support ONVIF. Where is it?! GeoVision changelogs link, version 8.5.7.0. Wasn't aware there was 8.5.8.0, but that doesn't matter. http://www.geovision.com.tw/english/4_2.asp Thank you for your time.

Hello CCTV I've never had to deal with license plate viewing for security cameras. These would be at the entrance of a parking garage that has a gate. Low and high light. POE. Been looking at the Q1604-E, but realized how expensive it is(+/-$1,200). I need to go on location to figure if I truly need 2 cameras or not... but I would prefer not to. Looked into the lens "Fujinon Varifocal Megapixel Lens 15-50mm" to attach to a Q1604-E to possibly get rid of the second camera, but I am not sure how that would effect license plate viewing. On another thread somebody suggested an AXIS IP-VE dome camera but I am not sure which one it was... So my final questions are... Which camera is best for this scenario? What do you think about that lens? Good for license plate viewing with that wide view? Thank you for your time

I started out with AXIS Camera Station for IP cameras, but they got rid of the remote view... GeoVision PCI-E Capture Cards are fine for analog systems. Including some analog and IP camera software, what company would you suggest I purchase from?
-
Well I've had close to no problems with GeoVision, so I figure why not? What software and/or companies would you suggest I use? Thanks for the comments guys, I appreciate it

Hello CCTV I was wondering what everybody thinks of each company, GeoVision and AXIS. Basically, the company I work for uses AXIS cameras, and I have switched them over to GeoVision software from AverDigi & unknown 3rd party software named DVR2400. Using AXIS cameras with GeoVision software, you need to purchase the NVR license. My boss purchases AXIS cameras because he knows a rep from CDW; they don't sell GeoVision products. However, if you purchase GeoVision cameras, it is my understanding that you don't need to purchase the NVR license and you have unlimited IP camera channels. Assuming that last statement is correct, what do you guys think of GeoVision IP cameras? I like the http interface for AXIS cameras; they are very easy to set up with very few problems. Is the GeoVision http interface similar to AXIS? Roughly the same? Positives/Negatives of each? Similar physical installation? If I get positive feedback, my next step would be to find out how much my boss is paying for the AXIS products, because I've never seen an invoice. If I can save the company money in the long term by purchasing GeoVision cameras without the NVR, that would be a huge plus. Thank you for your time!!

Geovision + newer Intel chipsets = BLUE SCREEN of Death
kolson88 replied to vvenzo's topic in Geovision
I would get the BSOD with AXIS Camera Station + new Dell Optiplex 390 as well. I actually switched to GeoVision for IP because of that... and because AXIS got rid of their remote web interface
