Hello, I have an armorview 500gb dvr 8 camera system and it came with a program that I installed on my pc. Its called CMS. When I run it it use to work great but now it just shuts down and closes. Is there some other program I could use. I can do it remotely with NetSurveillance but I cant play back video. It searches and finds the video but when I play it, it says Get Data Failed. If I could figure out why that says that I could use that. I can remotely adjust setting and everything just cant play back. Any help with either problem would be great full. Or suggestions on other programs free or reasonable that would work too. Thanks!

Still having this issue. -
Hello, First off I am curious why I cant find anything on this. Im not even sure if the brand is ArmorView I guess. It says it on the DVR but the box don't say anything but does say H.264DVR in a way that looks like that is the company. It says its model 8308v. Basically I am looking at what it is to figure out if I can upgrade it. There is a setting in for upgrading it in the program. Im thinking this is just a low budget china made DVR with no help on how to do anything with it. It records 2 channels at D1. The other 6 are CIF. They use all the same camera so Im assuming its the programing that decides what resolution it records in. Is there a way to hack or something to make the other 6 record in the D1? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Actually you may be on to something. There is a menu with "playback", "record" and should have another one with "snapshot record" that I dont have either. Guess I better contact them and see whats going on. I wasnt sure if it was a setting I didnt do right or what but they should be able to help me through it. Thanks -

I have been spending hours trying to figure things out and I think I got most of it but still having problems trying to view a recorded video remotely. I can watch the video live remotely but when I search and try to play it says "get data error". Im not sure I have the FTP set up right.
