You may need a Active-Active Balun. It will not work if you use passive-active balun or passive-passive.
-
You need a Media Converter. From RJ45 convert to fiber optics. And 20km you need to use a single mode type.

VGA or HDMI remote viewing which is better???
Visiocom replied to woltert1's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi I would recommend you to go for VGA option. Mainly because the resolution for this particular unit is the same for both HDMI and VGA. And VGA will be a cheaper option. But you need a VGA entender. -
HELP NEEDED!!!!! to setup avtech kpd674b dvr
Visiocom replied to mosterboy2000's topic in Digital Video Recorders
All DVR remote settings will be similar, but if it's on a 2wire router, I suggest you change your router as it does not support DDNS function. Meaning to say your router will not update the IP address if your ISP will to change the IP address. Setup of DVR for remote viewing will be possible if within singapore. Market rate will be ranging from SGD$150~$200 per set-up. -
I think you should go for HD IP cameras if you still think the one with spa is not sharp enough. Bare in mind that cameras besides the resolution in TV lines. It also has lens difference. Meaning to say the focus of an object near may be clearer with smaller lens eg 2.8,3.6 or 4mm if you go for more tele lens eg 6mm and above distance object will appear sharper, however closer details (object near to the camera) will be gone. Another factor will be your playback resolution and preview resolution. is it in 4CIF? or just CIF. CIF will not give you a very good picture as compared to 4CIF. Check also the bit rate that you set for your camera. it will affect the picture resolution too.

How to Login for where Private IP Address is assigned by ISP
Visiocom replied to pujaravs's topic in General Access Control Discussion
I'm not sure if your location is in Singapore. But since you've signed up with Dyndns.org. you should sign in using the host name you've created. eg CCTV.dyndns.org:1000 where 1000 is your http port, usually http port is 80(default). -
Yes if only you're looking at viewing and nothing else. This I believe does not come with localliase recording

Visiocom replied to fooyukvoon's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi there, you have to download the right software on Ipohone inorder to view. for example. HIK vision DVR uses ivms4500. find this application on your apps store. another possibility may be your settings is wrong. make sure the internal port is set correctly. -
anyone any experience with this brand?
Visiocom replied to cloudy's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi Cloudy, You could buy the DVR from any supplier, just make sure that it's PAL and not NTSC. As singapore uses PAL for viewing. and for Hard Disk part. It's better to get a 24/7 hard disk. Try not to get a normal hard disk for computer. It will fails within a short time. More information can contact Visiocom at 67484862 I will be happy to answer any question you may have
