Hikvision DVR problem viewing on 3G

I have the same problem using the iVMS-4500 app to view the bullet cams. I opened ports 8000 and 554. On external wifi, I can view the live stream but on 3G/lte, I can see the same connections being made: 8000 and 554 but there is no video, just black. I attribute this to something funny happening in the rtsp protocol negotiation and ports aren't translated properly or something is just broken with the hikvision app when it detects cell vs wifi.
  2. I have the Dahua IPC-HDB3200C camera and the auto exposure mode is not usable. It is fine for BRIGHT sunlight but during dusk/night/dawn periods, the picture is way too dim to pitch black. I would like a feature to set maximum exposure to say, 1/30 or 1/60 and the camera should be able to adjust to give the overall picture a level of brightness. How are other people dealing with this issue?? The picture to my camera can be monitored here: rtsp://guest:guest@71.198.38.41:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=1 PS. I live in GMT-8 timezone.
  3. I don't use onvif to access my cameras using the DS213 because it changes my camera settings and i don't like it. I add the custom RTSP to the surveillance station configs: http://brandon314.wordpress.com/2012/05/29/connecting-ubiquiti-aircam-to-synology-nas-surveillance-station-5/

  5. http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=73&topicid=104432&page_no=3 Post 675781. The password is admin/admin even though you have set your own password I believe. This was the key to getting ONVIF working. Also make sure you have the latest firmware. I didn't use my cheapie DS213 because the resolutions and frame rates supported was not great. I just use FTP upload to my nas on event. Cheers.
  6. Same here. Let me know if you find a solution to these accounts.

    Dahua IPC-HDB3200C auto exposure setting

I always thought WDR was there originally but not sure it worked as advertised. Now auto exposure is acceptable at night and works great. What other new features did you notice? I didn't notice any...
  8. Search for a post I made that has a link to newer firmware. It fixed the night time issues with this camera and makes it actually usable!

Dahua IPC-HDB3200CP-0360B tilt and pan fail

It is for manual adjustment. A motor in a security camera would make it much larger than that.

Dahua IPC-HDB3200CP-0360B tilt and pan fail

There is no mechanical pan tilt on this camera???
  11. Yes, the new firmware fixed the auto exposure problem and you can see at night, i can get decent videos of cars going by.

    Dahua IPC-HDBW3300

That is an HD-SDI camera..not IP camera. Also using CMOS and not CCD so it will be quite expensive.
  13. The 2MP stream is here: rtsp://guest:guest@71.198.38.41:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0 subtype=0. You're going to kill my bandwidth though...
  14. Digiscan, Nope, haven't experienced this issue. I too am uploading to a FTP on my nas and so far, i've collected 16 days worth of video (over 200GB).
  15. What IR illuminator did you get and can you confirm model number + pictures?

Yeah, I only use CBR so i didn't see the artifacts that you experienced.
  17. Don't forget that dahua you recently reviewed, too Maybe this is another thread, but I'm not clear on how something like Mobotix with its decentralized software (meaning the camera is autonomous and does not require centralized DVR) differs from other cameras, many of which can record themselves. I suppose it must come down to features and management of the videos/jpgs? That Dahua you reviewed, for example, requires no PC monitoring anything for its basic recording features. All it needs is an FTP drive somewhere to stick its data on. OP, what you describe is what I have. Router with laptop wirelessly connected and a POE switch providing power to a Dahua camera, which is independently monitoring everything and recording to an FTP server hosted on this PC. If the PC goes down I lose recording, but only because the PC is hosting the FTP site. If the FTP was hosted no a NAS drive, then the PC is totally out of the equation. Digiscan, don't forget that the Dahua cameras can record to an internal SD card when the FTP server is not available (has anyone tried this?). It is also possible to use the PSS software to view recordings that go into the SD card of the camera if you choose to save there instead of FTP. For me, I generate 8GB of data a day from one Dahua camera, recording at full 1080p, 8Mbit/sec with motion detection.

    Dahua IPC-HDB3200C auto exposure setting

Yes, i did notice some of those events especially now that Auto exposure mode is working much better. Like you said, better to capture more events than to loose something.

Your reseller should be able to provide the current firmware to you. If you find it, let me know as well so I can archive it.

    Dahua IPC-HDB3200C auto exposure setting

I am happy to report that I have obtained updated firmware which fixes the Auto Exposure Algorithm and it works very well in total darkness and early in the day. Auto Black and White also seems to be working. Things working well in this firmware (I'll update continuously): - Auto exposure is working well - Auto Back and White mode is working - Firefox with quicktime installed will show video now (Guessing RTSP) Things working not so well in this firmware: - [update: Seems to be consistently working now, false alarm] FTP uploads on motion events sometimes is less than 20 seconds (consistently 20secs in older firmware) - [update: Seems to be working now, false alarm] FTP upload sometimes does not rename the .dav_ and .idx_ files to the version without underscore - Motion trigger may be false/more sensitive The firmware version is: Device Type IPC-HDB3200C Software Version 2.103.0000.0.R, build : 2012-07-24 WEB Version 3.0.0.0 Please note that I have done limited testing but I have already noticed that video motion detection may have some false triggers and FTP upload does not complete and rename the file from 07.09.07-07.09.07[M][0@0][0].dav_ to 07.09.07-07.09.07[M][0@0][0].dav (without the underscore). Reporting back your findings here would be helpful to feedback to Dahua. Without further ado, the firmware and config tool can be found on my Skydrive. Config Tool for updating camera: http://sdrv.ms/O6HvAS PAL firmware: http://sdrv.ms/O6HJb3 NTSC firmware: http://sdrv.ms/Qyj6Fo Extract the firmware and choose General_IPC-HX3XXX_Eng_x_V2.103.0000.0.R.20120724.bin as the update file. Cheers!

You need to paste that link into something like VLC player. In VLC player, choose the option "Open Network Stream"

    2x laptops with dahua (robox)

Yes, sounds like activex issues. You need to use Internet Explorer to view the video and you need to adjust internet explorer options to prompt or allow to install "unsigned activex". You can add your no-ip domain as an intranet site and change the permission levels for that zone. Cheers!
