has anyone ever gotten"free samples" off cctv
vin2install replied to rdawg's topic in Security Cameras
Our company usually gives out free samples to new distributors all the time. Depending on how big the distributor is then they usually get the most samples. -
The part that screws into the box camera on the lens is loose from the lens itself. All you have to do is find something thin to hold down the part that screws onto the box cam and then turn the box cam itself.

Depends on the kind of hard drive. Most enterprise level hard drives are the ones that are mainly used. If you buy one off of retail shelves it might not last as long.

i need a system that i can monitor from home
vin2install replied to citroen999's topic in General Digital Discussion
Most DVR's will do that nowadays. You just have to set it up for motion detection and set up a smtp mail server on it too. -
i have this small IR camera is it adequate for out doors
vin2install replied to iamomeed's topic in Security Cameras
Depends on what kind of chip usually. If its a Sony Super HAD it will be more sensitive to IR's. Also the size of the sensor and focal length of the lens will make a difference too. But to play it safe by the looks of it don't go more than 20 ft. Coz usually cameras like that have a focal length of 3.7mm. -
Check your power supply.

Doesn't Speco's InPro cameras do this already?

Won't megapixel cams still be too expensive? This especially with small business owners.

Help. Anyone know how to set up tours on a basic keyboard
vin2install replied to vin2install's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Well some PTZ dont have a OSD to program the tours. So that is why im using this one. The tours are preset from 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 but i wanna know how to set it to go 4,3,2,1,5,6,7,8 for example. This is one of those old keyboards where you push the number in first. Does anyone know? -

Help. Anyone know how to set up tours on a basic keyboard
vin2install replied to vin2install's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
LOL, No that only shows how to run the tour but not to program it and set it. This one is a basic keyboard, i've seen others like it but different brand. So i hope someone knows how to set the tours on a keyboard that looks like this. -

Will this LCD monitor work?
vin2install replied to Erock509's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
The VGA monitor you have should be fine. The only problem is that the pictures might look stretched due to the monitor being widescreen -
The GS-602IRCW's are great cameras for the price it comes in.

IR glare on dome cameras :(
vin2install replied to pl8er's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
maybe your lens is dirty. If it still does it when you take off the dome cover then your lens is probably dirty. -
Most of the time it might be a small power surge. That usually puts it out of whack until you shut it down and power it back up. You are lucky the power surge wasnt big enough to fry the camera.

Get a Varifocal lens and make life easy.

Which model #. I work for Golden State repairing their cameras.

mmmmmm Flares LOL

I repair cameras at a camera manufacturer and i see those dots sometimes. Sometimes they range from a pink to a white dot. Usually when this happens then your camera is going to die really soon. You can only see these in low light tho. Even with IR LED's, you can still see them.

Dome Camera - Incorrect Color Hue (Blues, Browns, Blacks)
vin2install replied to beamer4lyf's topic in Security Cameras
if you say it looks normal when you plug it into a different monitor/tv then it is not your camera. -
Check your voltage. It might be too high. Over a period of time the voltage might be too much for it. You might be using a unregulated power supply
