I found an old 7 inch dvd player in the garage while scrounging around.. I'm wondering if that "Coaxial" is an input? -

It took me a minute but I figured that one out.. lmao.. How did you explain to him what he did wrong there? LMAO

Sounds like a nice setup! Can't wait to see the finished product. I ordered from Sean as well and I am very pleased!

In place shot, seems to be an issue with it though.. I'll have to check into it. Sn26QO9bL3E

I talked to Sean and he says they are decent cameras, that they sometimes need a little tweaking to get a good picture as the default settings can be weird sometimes. I'll play with it some more and see what I can come up with. Here is a pitch black night shot of the cat wandering around. tvTXyvNrJ9I Trying to pull a clip from the FD last night of it in action on the ATM. Can't get my geovision remote viewlog to cooperate :-\

I guess I was looking for more clarity in the people and moving objects. Identification shots from around my cars, etc. I can ID people, but generally if I know them already. I guess it's really only good for a general description and a height/weight thing, no real facial detail. I have 5 channels recording 7fps D1 around the clock, they are also recording motion events. Yep Afraid you may be right.

I kinda gave up on the camera to be honest... I installed it at the ATM, i'll grab a video next time I'm at the fire house. I don't think it's worth what I paid. With my limited experience, I prefer CNB.

Why was my post criticizing a moderator DELETED from this thread? Is that how things are ran here? Wait a few weeks and remove anything that paints you in a bad light? What a bunch of bull. You guys take care, I really enjoy this board, but I will not be censored when I criticize a moderator who is in the wrong.

Does anyone know is seven eleven has a standard CCTV setup or preferred brand? I've been impressed with video that I've seen on their public displays at the front doors and done YouTube footage isn't too shabby. I've found a reference online that says they use Sanyo but was curious If anyone here had personal experience. Jason

Nothing more sacred than medical records and they don't back those up to tape. Not true. I service EMC equipment in data centers every day and some companies such as Kaiser Permanente have multiple large tape storage arrays. I'm not talking old outdated crap... State of the art robotic storage arrays the size of a small uhaul.

The low light pic isn't natural light, it's from a CFL lamp about 8 feet to the left of the FOV. I'm going to try and get some daytime outside video tomorrow. And as far as the settings, I'm still learning about all of the different available settings on different cameras, so I very well could have it setup wrong.

We have a Bingo game once a week (provides 60% of our annual funding), have to keep the money flowing for our patrons!

Haven't used it in a live environment yet, but it looks good so far. I'm going to install this one at my firehouse overlooking the ATM for a week or so to see how well it performs. Jason

One thing I really like about this camera is the OSD controls, they are located on the cable, about 36 inches from the camera. Very convenient.. with my CNB's, my body usually gets in the way when using the OSD.

Short indoor sample video.. not much going on except the cat moving around, checking thing out as normal. xlpOctd3VN4 Zoomed all the way out, low light: Zoomed all the way out, normal light: Zoomed all the way out, no light, IR on: Zoomed all the way in (12mm), low light, the door in the center is 19 feet from the camera: Zoomed all he way in (12mm), normal light: Zoomed all the way in (12mm), IR on:

thats a qvis own make budget. Can you clarify that statement? I'm not quite grasping what it means. Thanks, Jason

Camera came in. Very solid, I thought it was all plastic from the pictures but it is indeed all metal. Snaps and vids to come. Jason
-
I can second that! I have three of them and they are very good in low light. See my snapshots from the ones I installed last week: The two top cameras are VCM-24VF's. Top right is only lit by a single 13W CFL (60w equivalent). Top left is the same 13W CFL with some assistance from a street lamp about 70-80 feet away. Jason

QC444 HD - High Picture Quality Setting
jtetterton replied to shaywood's topic in Digital Video Recorders
I think I have an idea as to what he is refering too, see the HD button in the lower left? When you click it, you can select low or high quality, when I start my PSS software, it always reverts to low quality.
