Does a hardware reset affect recorded video? AVC777M
thefarg posted a topic in Digital Video Recorders
I have an AVC777M. The admin account has been deleted. If I were to do a hardware reset, would I still be able to access the recorded video? does it reset the time etc? If so, does that affect the recording? -

The manual and everything I have read say nothing about multiple users through the front panel. The only mention is how to reset THE front panel password. The manual only shows ip settings etc in the network part? Any ideas? -

How do I do that? It appears that I can only create network accounts from Video Server E, which I cant log into. -

I have the password to get in via the front panel but the admin account has been deleted in the network interface. There appear to be 2 factory resets via the menu.... one in system and one in network. Does resetting either of these replace the network admin account? Do they affect the stored video? -

How about if I do a reset through the front panel menu? In the front panel menu , network, there is an option to reset default. Does this reset the network passwords? -

Yes, I have seen this tip. I have some footage I need to keep.... Will the hardware reset affect this? -
I have an AVTech AVC777W. I accidentally deleted ALL accounts including admin and can no longer log on. Hardware reset doesnt seem to restore it. How do I restore the admin account?

AVC77W - 16ch networked video server I think I can only upgradr firmware through the Video Server E software. I have no network user accounts so I cant connect with it. Would upgrading firmware recover the lost admin account? Another account was set up and the admin dissapeared, the user deleted the new account so there are no users. Using the machines front panel to RESET TO FACTORY DEFAULT resets the camera zones etc but not network ip, dns passwords etc. It has a long beep when I press the button to confirm. Do I need to turn the machine off or do anything special to get the factory reset? Is the hardware reset via jumper the same as through the menu or resets different level, amount etc?

Does resetting the factory defaults through the menu recreate the ADMIN account? When I press reset in the menu it beeps, but doesnt reset passwortds etc, only the cameras. How do I correctly use the factory default setting in the menu?

What does RESET FACTORY DEFAULTS really do?

The DVR is AVC777M. When adding a new user, the admin account dissapeared. It was saved like this so now there are no user accounts via the network. We still can access through the front panel menu. Does removing the battery work? Does bridging the jumper restore the lost account?
