  1. The application is a IP based video system that is used to operate equipment, this is why it needs to be low latency. I know that IP systems inherently have latency, but I need for the system to have the lowest possible latency, we commonly use Avigilon, but it is no where near fast enough. We do have some custom built software that is fast, but support for it is near impossible, and it is very limited.
  2. I am in search of a VMS software or NVR with very low latency. Who is the fastest? Do you guys have any recommendations?
  3. Need motion detection, if it can do more advanced analytics (detect people, cars, etc.) that would be a big plus. It will be a mobile unit installed in a remote location, having only a 3g/4g network connection.
  4. I need to find a NVR that has local full resolution recording (1-4 cameras), and analytics, but also has a low bandwidth stream for remote connections on a mobile network. Any recommendations you can provide would be helpful.
  5. I realize that a IP system will have a certain amount of delay in live view mode. I have used Avigilon, Axis, and a custom built software (developed for satellite video transmission). The Avigilon software has everything i want except a true (or at least close to true) live view, I usually get a delay of 1 second- this is too much for the customer, being that these cameras are used to operate equipment from a distance. Note that the custom software has almost no delay (far less than a second), but it lacks the other features, and ease of setup as other VMS that we use. And the customer does not want a analog system.... So what I ask- Does a video management software exist that is without (or close to without) delay?
  6. Hi, I have a application where my customer needs a video management software that has true live video (no delay in live view mode). The customer also requests digital ptz. Do any of you know of a VMS that can accomplish this? We are using axis cameras- mostly Q1755. Any advice is appreciated.
  7. Never mind, I figured it out.... I just had to send the RS422 signal back down the coax and it worked....
  8. Hi all, I am installing a Axis Q1755 into a Pelco Esprit pan/tilt. I am using the Q1755 to drive the pan/tilt via RS422, the problem I am running into is that the esprit will not move unless it receives an analog video signal from the camera at the bottle. Is there anyway to trick the esprit into thinking that it has a analog camera in it? Any input would be greatly appreciated....
