I've been getting a lot of complaints that now, after an upgrade the video quality is inferior. Where should the blame go on this one? Would this be from poor encoding? Poor programming on the DVR? Would quality of cameras be an issue? Has anyone experienced similar problems? If necessary I can probably post specs. In general... 16 channel pc based DVRs, currently recording at 2cif. Thanks for the help in advance.

Hello! I've been looking for a community in the CCTV world so this forum looked perfect. I've been in the CCTV/Access Control world for just about 1 year working primarily with one company but also doing a lot of freelance work. I came into my main gig just as the company was interested in upgrading systems and doing some larger scale work. Right now the sites up to about 40 PC based DVRs. If I get the approval, I'd love to get some advice on some of my installations.

Don't feel like playing the guessing game huh? OpenEye OE4 build 57. Are the capture card brands that most companies use pretty generic? I can look up what they use.

Went last year and just got my flight for this year. Probably won't be doing any of the educational sessions this year though.
