To complicate your life a little more you could try using DD-WRT software on your router, if it is supported to run a wireless bridge. You would still access the dvr though the IP addressed to it. The wireless bridge would take the place of an Ethernet cable. Google 'wireless bridge', I just plugged my Kguard into the wired part of the network. I guess I was lucky that way. Good luck
