  1. Hi and thanks for all you contribute! I am upgrading part of our hotel CCTV system from analogue to IP. None of the system will be connected to the internet. It will be used as an intranet. Im looking at IP PTZ and fixed domes, POE+/POE. Looking at TP-LINK 24-Port Gigabit Ethernet L2 Managed PoE+ Switch with 4 Combo SFP Slots (TL-SG3424P). or NETGEAR ProSAFE FS728TP 24-Port Fast Ethernet PoE Smart Managed Switch 192w (FS728TP-100NAS) It comes with options such as "smart" or "managed". Prices is negligible, what is the recommendation? Only thing using these switches will be CCTV cameras. please let me know if I require any other hardware in my design listed below: CCTV - CAT6 to Network Switch with UPS in server rack. Multimode fiber from switch to NVR (SRN-4000 64 channel) with UPS. NVR connected to KVM switch to monitor(s). Do I require any SFP modules? CAT6 runs are all under 100m. Fiber run will be up to 1,000 m. I am in South Korea on a US Military base. Currently use Samsung as its easy to get locally and warranty issues are solved in a few hours. any and all recommendations please! Thank you, Don

    PTZ Recomendations Please

Good day everyone, Looking for a PTZ for use in a casino wil some low lighting and some flashing stuff as well. I do not need IR but need very good resolution. My budget is 500-800. I am currently using Samsung DVRs. Oh and I am in South Korea on a US Army Base using 110v. The PTZs do not need to be Korean or in Korea. Warrant and replacement time/cost/ect is a concern as well. Thanks!
  4. Hello all, I really need and appreciate your assitance. I work at a Hotel and we are upgrading our 15 year old PTZs, 24volt AC, with Samsung SCD-3081 12volt DC. What are my options without having to run all new cabling? Thank you all, Don
  5. Thanks for your quick and insightful replies. I am in Korea, and I am looking at the Korean users manual and it is exactly the same as the English one, but it only talks about 12v DC. Nothing about dual voltage or 24C ac. taking the housing dome off, everything is in English.....Wondering if these are exactly the same???? English and Korean.
