Thanks guys that really helps I knew about the netgear I just wanted to make sure from somebody else as well again thank you.

i have a dvr and i want to hook internet up to it so i can view my cameras when im not home,but my router is down stairs and i cant run a wire,i wanted to know is there a wifi adapter that i can use that will connect threw my dvr to my router with out any problems. any help will be great.
