  1. sent you a email, Time to brick some cameras.
  2. the dahua with 6mm lens has 30 leds, the qsee which has the 6mm lens has 30 leds. the dahua with 3.6mm lens has 25 leds. it depends on which lens is equipped on the camera.
  3. fyi that banana example is just what i've witnessed, i do not abuse costco's return policy, but i do get comfort knowing they will take something back as needed. On the side note, i have ordered 2x of the Q-see 4 camera NVR systems. i have the dahua 3208P 8 channel - 4 port poe NVR as well, 8x dahua 1.3mp bullets, and 4x dahua 1.3mp mini domes hdw2100s i will try to mix and match when the costco set gets here. i have the latest bullet cam firmware, waiting on my seller to send me the latest firmware on the minidomes, and asked to get the firmware on the NVR as well.
  4. i do have the dahua version that has 4 poe ports but supports up to 8 cameras. NVR3208-P it came defaulted at view 16 cameras, so there is a chance that it can be done. I'm not sure if mine has firmware for 16 cameras, but its weird that it would default to 16 camera view if it was meant to support only 8 cameras. There are ram chips soldered onto the mother board. But i dont remember how much there was.
  5. I just don't get how you think it is morally right to promote to people that they should flash firmware to cameras that is not designed from them and let the supplier take the hit if it fails. Because I am sure your not going to tell Costco's return department what you really did. costco doesn't ask why you return anything. they've taken back a half eaten banana from what i've seen.
  6. i think any 3.6mm lens would work fine in the q-see, its just that 2.1mm lens is a lot bigger.
  7. 6mm has 30leds while 3.6 has 25, this is true on the dahua ones i have as well.
  8. definitely a good deal, i've told my family members if you want something good and cheap, this would be the one. i might buy 2 of these kits to set up for my 2 uncles.
  9. this was posted by a user Lantis over at Synology Forums port 9988 for onvif apparently?
  10. i got a 2.1mm lens from ebay, i could not get it to fit my 3.6mm camera, ir board has too small a hole in the middle! just a fyi. i got a 2nd 2.1mm lens from another ebay seller coming as well.
  11. i have 2x ds1812+ NAS, but i am using for storage /nvr duties, no problems with it during my testing, you have to pay attention to what they are rated for. Most of the ones rated for home use will not work well with more then a camera or 2.
  12. so your distributor has the IPC-HFW3200S ? the short 2mp cameras?
  13. the seller i got it from sent me firmware for the hfw2100n within a day of me asking for it. it was a aliexpress seller.
  14. If QSee gives better service than your local Dahua dealer (i.e., eBay) then it's definitely worth it - I'm talking about access to firmware and technical support. Another benefit is that you can always return to them for a full refund to Costco if they're defective, without any hassle. from what i read qsee is horrible, but costco is great.
  15. a brand that has been discussed a lot lately is dahua, but for the most part, you would have to get it from someone on aliexpress or such. I've had good luck with their cameras and the prices are hard to touch!
  16. also forgot to mention, it appears that 6mm cameras come with 30 ir leds, while the 3.6mm ones come with 25 ir leds, i'm not sure if you should also be changing out the ir boards when you swap from 1 lens to another.
  17. will wait for someone to give it a try, i was under the impression that the dahua cameras had ir cut built into the lens, if its not, then these would be perfect.
  18. These are essentially Dahua cameras, they should work just fine with 3rd party software. as long as you provide power to the cameras, through poe or 12v which it should have a connector for, you can connect them to switch.
  19. i am definitely a fan of costco, their service and returns is 2nd to none i would think. I'm only using these at home and work, as well as rental properties, doubt i would want to go through a distributor like ingram. Q-see stuff seems to have a pretty big markup compared to dahua from china, its rare to see low prices like what costco currently has.
  20. i knew it, i posted in the other thread that they looked awfully like dahua cameras. sucks that i already ordered something from hk! the package is a really good deal! one thing to note is that the qsee comes with 6mm lenses the dahua can come with 3.6mm which i like much more due to what i need to cover. there is no mention of 1.3mp support in the qsee cameras, probably is there though 4 channel nvr limits expansion, but for those that need only 4 cameras, this is a very nice system!
  21. great knowing it works great with synology, i have 4 i plan to put on my ds1812+ hope you find a answer to your question, i am very interested in it when i get around to it as well.

    price check please

cameras show to be 77 bucks each, they are LTS brand not bosch.
  23. rayt

    price check please

google search of LTS-LTCMD718H shows cameras are 77 bucks a pop and the dvr can be had for 880 bucks do the math, thats about 1400 for dvr + cameras, definitely better then your first quote.
