    The port you are using is for mobile 3G/4G, you should be using port 9000 for the media port unless you changed it from the default on the DVR for some reason. If you did you should change it back to 9000 or something close to that.

    You have set it correct. I have the same DVR. It is always recording so that when there is motion it will record a set period of time before the triger along with the period of motion detected. This ia all that should be saved to the HDD, so when you do a search you should only see recordings of motion events listed.
