Anyone? I've found 3rd party iphone apps that allow this but I would like to use PC Software.

I'm after a cheap CCTV DVR, perhaps one from the far east that is capable of two way audio from the browser client or better still dedicated client software. Anyone have any recommendations? D1 or Better still SDI would be preferable Thanks
-
Sorry should have explained this is a tear down project to test a theory rather than needing to be top end stuff. After a couple of weeks of use it'll be binned. SDI was curiosity rather than necessity.

Has anyone any experience of FTPing images to server? I have a DVR which allows images to be FTP'd in certain circumstances. What I would like to know is whether it's possible to use my web server to upload the images to? It's hosting server for a number of web sites but I would thinking I could create a folder within one of the domains to FTP the images to??? Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks

Yes, on my own web server. I can FTP to and from using CuteFTP but the DVR doesn't send anything to it.

I was hoping but alas it doesn't seem to.. Not connecting via FTP

Sorry to drag up an old thread, don't suppose either of you could email me the software from the disc? I have lost mine and with a new laptop can't install the system on there. Thanks -
Do BT offer static IP's for residential customers?? That may well be the stumbling block. Though if DDNS works I'll get around it that way

Does anyone know if the connection of the Viper CCTV system : http://www.vipercctv.com/cctv/cctv-dvr-recorders/nemesis-apollo-hd-cctv-digital-video-recorders-dvr.html Is possible to be used with a Dynamic no IP service such as DynDNS or NO-IP? I understand how the systems work by monitoring the WAN IP but is this dependant on the Router or the DVR? It will be connected to an early BT Home Hub (the white one) on a system with a Dynamic WAN. If this doesn't make sense let me know? I guess if it's router dependant any DVR with Network capability will work??? If I'm barking up the wrong tree and there are better options for what I want I guess the protocol is a PM? Thanks Piers

Isle of Wight... I'll get him to get the new box and a static IP, seems a simpler solution, if not a little conceding defeat.. It's all about learning

Thanks for the answer.. The router is not mine, it's for a friend that I'm giving a hand to. I did think that I would get him to call BT and get a new one.. So it's the router not the DVR ??? What's the story with the new boxes and not needing a DDNS? Thanks
