We're contemplating linking our customers NVR to his router (conveniently located by his HD tv for HDMI input), setting up a wireless bridge with a range extender (we have found a really good, value for money one), to link to a wireless 8 channel (4 channel POE) in their loft, allowing us to hardwire the four cams (with POE power) from that switch. Where we are a little green , is that we are unsure if that the (wireless) connection could cope with (at least) a D1 setting across the four cams. We can vary the frame rate/resoultion accordingly (we intend to experiment) but would greatly welcome anyone who can offer any information/advice/data transfer calculators (eg. Mbps Vs 4 x IP cam resolution) relating to this particular setup. The NVR has a 1.3MP/720/D1/CIF setting for each camera (1.3MP cams) and of course a frame rate setting. This type of setup allows for minimal cabling (especially in a residential environment), so we are eager to explore the possibilities of it. Any information regarding this would be warmly welcomed.
