I need help understanding how to go about fixing an issue with a friends system. There is an American Dynamics EDVR that has a security camera connected to it. All access to the system is web based. There is no monitor attached to the EDVR itself. It has begun beeping with a disk full error. My limited understanding is that I need to connect a monitor to the DVR and use the front panel menu buttons to format the disk drive or at least turn off the alarm. I purchased a BNC to VGA adapter and tried hooking it up to a computer monitor but it shows "no signal"
Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks for your help.
