CT-SRD-470D :: Samsung 4CH Linux Standalone H.264 DVR
DWCCTV replied to two89w's topic in Digital Video Recorders
No George - I never indicated you were promoting anything (read everything again). I just asked if you were indicating that video recorded @ D1 is much better than 4CIF because the specs of the system is 4CIF, as you highlighted in bold, but it seems like you were discussing it like it was only CIF and made a comparison to an old VCR. Someone else indicated you were promoting. D1 CCTV resolution is NOT 704 x 480 D1 resolution is 720×486 (NTSC) and 720×576 (PAL) 4CIF resolution is 704×480 (NTSC) and 704×576 (PAL) I am sorry I was mistaken. I was confusing .cif with 4cif I apologize. -
Hello, Did you also update the Geovision card drivers? Sometimes when upgrading you will have to completely wipe out the old version. I have run into this issue. Thank you, George Boyle Dallas Wholesale CCTV

Help with Remote viewing a Older Geo Vision System
DWCCTV replied to zacarra's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Hello, Are you looking for the port information or how to start your Geovision servers on your system. I am guessing this is an a-type series card which most likely will not update to 8.5 and only run on a 32 bit system. Post a pic of the serial and I can tell you what software you can upgrade to. CT-SRD-470D :: Samsung 4CH Linux Standalone H.264 DVR
DWCCTV replied to two89w's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Take it easy groovyman He simply trying to promote his product on another hand do you believe that u getting D1 quality recording with your product line ? (whatever u use) Hello, No groovyman I am not promoting anything! I am simply trying to save someone a headache from buying outdated junk. D1 resolution is hands down better than .cif YES! If you want to disagree with that fact you have no right posting. Go look at recorded .cif and recorded .D1. * CIF CCTV resolution is 352 x 240 pixels in size and is one quarter the resolution of D1. * D1 CCTV resolution is 704 x 480 pixels and is the highest resolution the CCTV system can record at. High end digital video recorders offer this resolution and only the highest end recorders can offer D1 resolution at 30 frames per second recording. Thank you, George Boyle -
CT-SRD-470D :: Samsung 4CH Linux Standalone H.264 DVR
DWCCTV replied to two89w's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hello, Unless you are buying this system very very cheap. I am going to have to go thumbs down. As you can see this unit is a .cif resolution system. Basically an old VCR. • 4ch 4CIF real-time DVR • Video (H.264) / Audio (ADPCM) • 4CIF Resolution real-time (25fps) recording capability • Up to 4ch audio inputs and 1ch audio output • Combined BNC and VGA video output for main display (up to 1280 x 1024) • SRD-470D : SATA I/F HDD support (Internal Max. HDD x 1) • HDD & DVD SATA interface • DDNS • Built-in web viewer • DVD R/W (SRD-470D) I would look for something that is D1 resolution. You can find these units pretty cheap. This will enhance your recorded footage alot. You wont be happy with the recorded footage on this unit. I hope this helps. Thank you, George Boyle Dallas Wholesale CCTV -
Hello Sir, I would go with an IP/Analog Hybrid system. Looks like the distance you have to travel with the cable is going to transmit a lot better via cat5. I would suggest Geovision Cameras. They have an extremely clear picture for the 1.3-2 MP cameras. I wouldn't usually suggest this for a dark area but considering the amount of light. You will get an amazing picture. These cameras come with 3 year warranty's and free 32ch software. So if you are computer savy you can do this yourself. I am sure you can get this done for appx 2500.00. If you need any further help. Please feel free to ask! Thank you, George Boyle Dallas Wholesale CCTV

No video from any camera on any channel
DWCCTV replied to pnyxxpress's topic in General Digital Discussion
Just to be sure as you probably already did check your power and connections. If this is a standalone DVR it could be set to PAL instead of NTSC I would try that in advanced settings / video settings. If this does not work take your camera to a test monitor (Television) plug it in and see if you get any picture. If you do, there could be a problem with the DVR. I hope this helps. How to watch a DVR and PTZ camera together? help please!!!
DWCCTV replied to nissans's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hello Sir, As far as I know there is no program that will help you. You would need to upgrade to a DVR that is hybrid and will accept both analog and IP connections. This will include the CMS software you are looking for. I hope this helps. Thank you, George Boyle Dallas Wholesale CCTV 469-206-4543 -

Controlling PTZ Dome with DVR & Joypad
DWCCTV replied to PEJ's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hello Pete, It actually should be that easy. Just make sure you split the cable from the cable and not jump from your controller to the DVR. They can both send signals to the same camera just not at the same time. If this does not work, let me know I will do some testing as well. Thank you, George Boyle Dallas Wholesale CCTV
