not any more , it request's login details to proceed, then informs that from June 2015 no more registrations. no downloads............................... booo for 2 years my pss pro 4.02 worked perfect all window / skins worked, laptop died, installed same software on new laptop, all window skins are now wrongly sized with missing buttons, can not even added a dvr as the button is not displayed. change screen res to that of the old laptop, no change, installed newer version 4.06 no change.. what a royal pain

how much additional light was used in the night shots, certainly heading in the right direction. Intelligent IR, having learn't the hard way, keep the IR source away from the camera, you'll have no problems, having control over the IR strength is also a must on board or not. not every night is a crisp dry night, thieving scum tend to choose bad weather days. residue build up is also another problem, dirty rain, smoke, dust are all a nightmare when it comes to IR. its amazing how the technology progresses year in year out, quality available for the money just gets better and better. cheers J

Swann DVR (DVR-8CIF) , the compression and the fact its cif, you need D1 and that's not totally amazingly brilliant, nothing to do with being swann brand, I have one , it does what is said it would do. people think you need massively high res from camera and dvr, well true to a point, but the ability for optical zoom function in a must . basically what the system will record to storage is, will be sent via lan, In the real world most criminals that go out thieving will have clocked the camera system and hence will be covered up. the main target is early detection of inturder and follow your action strategy when it happens. what you see on the monitor is camera res which will be many times better than on the recording and lan viewed footage. on the sawnn system increase network bandwidth parameter, that will be limited to the slowest connection, on the lan side not a prob but on a wan will be down to the upload link speed.

SightLogix® SightMonitor , Now that's a cool bit of kit , however price is not cheap and certainly not geared for low end market.

In some cases its not best to have IR on the camera but to have it away. motion sensing for one , small creatures like spiders, moths, etc will trend towards the IR for warmth and home making.

IRH60L8A seems a lot of money for nothing more than a well box IR panel.
