    Raspberry Pi

Slightly off topic but is it possible to use raspberry pi as a viewer for a camera feed/s? Cheers.
  2. Hi All, I have a Verint Nextiva s2700e‏ camera and wish to connect it to my Blue Iris NVR system. I can connect onto the camera fine etc and see the live stream - all good! But now I want to add it to blue iris, unfortunately it is not in the list of tested devices, and I have tried about 20 others in there, but can not get a video stream. Does anyone know what I can do to try and get blue iris to see this camera ? Any help is appreciated. Cheers.

    Verint Nextiva S2700E

Hi, I have just acquired a Verint Nextiva S2700E and am under the impression that it can be powered via POE. Which is what I am thinking of doing, but was just wondering if anyone knows how I could power it with the 3 cables instead of POE? I am used to dealing with cameras that have the "Jack Input" Any help is appreciated ! Cheers.

    USB Outdoor Micrphone

Hi All, Does anyone know of a USB Microphone that is waterproof / can be used outside ? I have a camera outside, but it does not have a microphone. So I was thinking about running a USB mic from the camera pc, to the camera in question. Anyone have any ideas ? Thanks.
  7. Ah right. So is that with a DVR you use ? I have a system connecting to a pc running blue iris, do you know anyway it would be possible to get a mic working with a camera that does not have one but on a pc ? Come to think of it I may have seen an option in the camera properties of blue iris to use audio and I could use the PCs inbuilt mic jack ? May give that a go ! Cheers.
  8. Sorry to change the subject, but how did you manage to get the video and sound all synced up together with the camera and microphone being seperate ? Cheers.

    Offsite FTP Storage

Thanks for the reply. I've had a look at drive HQ and exavault and they both look promising. I like that exavault gives you a 90 day trial ! I will have a look at what you've recommended. Cheers.
  13. Hi All, May be a bit of a dumb question here! But I want to mount an outside camera on the wall above the main door. Does anyone what the best/easiest way is to go about this? I have attached a picture of the wall in question, and the cables what will need to be fed through the wall. I feel that mounting it above the door will give a better field of view and make sure everything movement gets captured? http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/444/phototv.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/99/photo1qt.jpg/ Cheers.

    Mounting Camera To Outside Wall

No Probs. Here is the picture of the door area. And here is the camera, it is actually a DB Power branded camera. Cheers.

    Mounting Camera To Outside Wall

Its a IP wired / wireless. Think its just a generic make, but does give off a pretty good picture. Only problem is where its located at the moment is just a bit further down than the door, and to get to the door you need to walk up some steps, so if somewhere walks to the door, you generally capture them. But when they are right at the door, the camera cannot see them. Therefore I thought that if it was above the door, you would get them walking up the steps, and when at the door. See attached pic for info. Cheers.

    High FPS Camera

Hi All, I currently have some cheap wired/wireless IP cameras, but they can only just about reach 15FPS generally they sit at 10FPS. But then this makes the video choppy! Can anyone recommend a decent wired/wireless IP camera which is possible of reaching 30FPS, or at least look like "Live Time" Looking at both indoor and outdoor! Cheers.
  19. Is that software available to anyone?
