Toss , When you said measuring the resistance to check the join , what reading should I expect and how to do it ? -Should I measure the DC resistance with a DVM ? -Or the impedance in AC , how ? -Connect a load at one end and measure at the other end ? Tks !

Hi, Having a system with 2 16 channels NVR connected to a 10/100Mb router. To that router , I have a DVR 30 cam analog and a PC that runs a client software to see some cams pattern . Problem is there is a delay between the live action and the view in patterns . Sometime 30 sec sometimes 2 Minutes. Is the that the bandwidth is not enough ? Is the router 100Mb ok ? Any settings to lower bandwidth of the IP cam ? Or DVR ?

Hi , I'm having problem with 2 Hik cams (DS-2CD2132F) , image is orange (Cam # 12 & 15). I want to reset/restore them to their default values . Can I do it with iVMS or connecting to the IP cam or I need to physically unplug the power and press reset on the cam itself ? Tks !!!

Hi , We have a few cams that are mounted to a big metallic frame (Outside gate) for 5 years now. Every 1 or 2 years , we got damaged cams because , i think , lighting. Opening the cams , we can see burned components inside. We use 12 VDC as power and baluns for video transmission. I don't know if damage is coming from power ( i doubt) or from the BNC . How can I protect the cams from this ? Tks for your help....

Hi , I installed 16 IP cams (DS-2CD2132F) on a Hikvision NVR (DS-7716NI). What does it mean when they say that it's hardcoded on the NVR and I cannot delete it from the NVR menu ? Thanks !

Hi , Having some black "flickering spots" on the image. I think it's coming from the setting of the CAMS . As an example , every gray areas are having these spots. See picture... Cams are mix of Hikvision DS-2CD2132F , DS-2CD2112F , DS-2CD2712F & DS-2CD2732F Any idea ? Thanks !

Hi , Using SADP utility , I m able to see some cams but I cannot connect to it with my password that I know is good. Is there any locked-out feature on these cams like after 3 attempts or something like that ? Tks ! Version of the CAM is V5.30

With a pic , it's hard to see.... A video will be better to show... By looking the cam with the boat as an example , floor is gray but we see flickering black spots on it.

Hi , I have many IP CAMS connected to some NVRs. Is it a good thing to use relays from the NVR and use motion detection to activate a zone on a alarm panel ? No more of using IR detector in that case or it still better using IR . Thanks for your advise !

It's not a fire wall. Just a regular wall. When saying low voltage , it's under what voltage ? 48 VDC ?
