I am trying to get an Arecont camera with I/O to send me a text whenever my security alarm goes off. I have notification set and can get the text when I hit the [Test Profile] button. I can go to [Trigger Input Setup] and change the state and apply it and get a text. But for whatever reason, I can not get a text whenever my alarm panel goes into an alarm status.
Here is a description of the setup.
Alarm Siren outputs to an ice cube relay. One set of poles provide +12V to a siren and strobe. One set of poles is empty. The other set is wired NO. That wire runs to the input of an AV1115 camera.
In the Exacq software, I have Event Linking set as: EVENT TYPE = input trigger, EVENT SOURCE = input, ACTION TYPE = notify, ACTION TARGET = text phone
I have tried this umpteen times with no luck. I have even tried using a 4204 relay from my 128BPE panel and still no luck. What I havent tried yet is to send any type of voltage to the camera. It is being powered by POE and I was afraid power through the input terminals would mess it up.
