Hikvision NVR and ONVIF Samsung camera help
colin_85 replied to DS-7732NI's topic in Digital Video Recorders
I am having the same issue with a 7708 DVR with oncam Evo 05 cameras, they connect for about 30 minutes then throw an error message and stop recording, everything is fine with the camera and it is still accessable from the IP address. The camera is connected through the onvif protocol. It is connected to a poe switch instead of the connections on the rear of the DVR. -

Hikvision 7208 hvi sv - new firmware added support for ip

Hi, Has anyone had any experience with the hikvision analogue dvrs, I upgraded a clients the other day and on the playback screen an option appeared for 2 ip cameras, do you know what resolution these dvr's can record an ip camera at? Thanks Colin -
Is there a program for a pc (windows) that if you put a usb drive into it will automatically launch an application that will copy to cd or dvd. I have a client who wanted cheaper dvrs so he went for the hikvision 7200 series instead of the 7300. However he is now having issues giving the police archived cctv as it is on usb stick. He has 4 security staff, 3 of which are not great with computers and he was looking for a one or few click solution to copy the USB drives to cd using a PC they already have. Thanks Colin.

Hi, was wondering if any of you could help me? I have recently acquired a hunt dvr, it came with no hard drives. I had an old 16gb and 80gb ide drive lying about the house, I have put them into the dvr and switched it on, it come up to the initialising hardrives screen but goes no further, Would there have been software on the original drives? Or the drives are formatted in Fat 32, would I have to format them in another format? Thanks in advance Colin Williamson

Hunt HDR 16-MP - Harddrive Replacement
colin_85 replied to colin_85's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi the power supply is ok and I have formatted the drives in both fat32 and ext2 & 3. To be honest I think it is the ide controller board. On the plus side without a hard drive you can still view the live streams and each of the 16 channels has the option to stream on an individual ip address, I am going to team it up with an old dual core laptop I have and install ispy recording software to capture each of these streams. -

Does anyone know what type of file system the hunt dvr's use - Fat, Fat32, ext2, ext3 or ext4 or even NTFS but I think the DVR is too old for this? Thanks Colin
