    DVR audio output?

We need 4 cameras and I'd rather just use a normal DVR. How can I identify whether or not a DVR has capabilities for this 2-way chat?

    DVR audio output?

Can someone please help? I understand the two audio outputs could be used for speakers for someone at the dvr but I want to know if any DVR has used them for someone viewing on a different network allowing them to talk to the DVR's speakers. We're considering setting up a camera system for my 93 year old dad at his house to be able to monitor him in case of a health emergency and being able to communicate with him would be nice. I understand he can talk to us (setting up a mic in the audio input) but can we talk to him (through the audio output) remotely?

    DVR audio output?

I noticed that a lot of DVR's have audio outputs. Assuming they had speakers set up with them, do you think it would be possible to talk from them remotely on a computer with a microphone? If not, then what purpose do they serve?
  4. I have the kgaurd sha104. You can see its specs here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16881377020 I noticed it only has one audio channel. Would it be possible, with the use of a splitter, to use multiple mics on it? Also, if you could point me to a good online store for surveillance mics I'd appreciate it.
