Maybe you're right Maxicon, but can't verify since the root/vizxv login doesn't work as telnet login anymore. Anyone aware of the new login password? -
Dahua hf3300 POE Cameras
finalwish replied to djadam's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi Final Wish. you cant turn off the IR. My supplier has managed to get china to log in to the camera from China and it isnot a firmware or software issue. They are going to swap over 3 cameras for me. we have already taken 3 back from another install. and the 5 he has in the shop are also doing the same thing. Adam I think you can telnet to the router and do the following to turn off/on the IR. echo 1>/proc/bd_motor 1 echo 1>/proc/bd_motor 0 -
Dahua hf3300 POE Cameras
finalwish replied to djadam's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
My hfw3200 has the same problem with flashing IR. I can't figure out how to fix it so decide to just switch it to day mode. Even though in day mode, if you're looking at the camera at night time, you see the IR continues flashing. -
Hikvision & Avigilon compatibility
finalwish replied to chesterfield's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
although not complete, hikvision has some cameras listed at http://www.hikvision.com/en/us/partner_more.asp?id=789 For example, DS-2CD2532F-I(S) isn't on the list, but it does work with motion detection. -
Swann/Hikvision waterproof connector damaged:
finalwish replied to 15734's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
try a small screwdriver and see if you can straigten the pins... i've done it before on a few regular ethernet port and they seem to work ok afterwards. -
New Hikvision Minidome DS-2CD2532F-I
finalwish replied to afschmitt's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I don't have it in my possession at the moment. Lent it out. I bought from Aliexpress but the guy I bought it from currently has no more in stock. It took about 3 weeks to get here. That doesn't sound good. That has always been my worry with dome cameras. Is it bad. Can you post pictures?. - I am looking for a genuine/reliable seller for this camera, (English version ideally). If anyone has used a Alibaba/Aliexpress seller for this camera can you tell me their name. Thanks -
New Hikvision Minidome DS-2CD2532F-I
finalwish replied to afschmitt's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I received my order for one of these the other day, and while playing around with it, I noticed that it is getting IR halo reflection from the dome when the lens is pointed at a distant object, but if lens is pointed to an object within 8-10 feet, no halo from IR reflection. -
non-stop record with motion flags and search
finalwish replied to jamangus's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Icatcher console does record continuously and mark when motion is detected. When viewing, you can view either all or motion video only. -
maybe drop in fps, see viewtopic.php?f=19&t=33328&p=223540&hilit=pal+on+ntsc#p223540

Do you see frame rate difference using Pal firmware for NTSC cameras? I've installed the above version on 2x HDB3200C NTSC cams with the config tool v1.0.5. Took a few minutes on first cam. The file was uploaded to 2nd cam but wouldn't start programming. Powered cam off and on, was able to upgrade it then. Both are working fine now. As with previous firmware, I am only able to view them on Firefox. With IE 11 I always get prompted to install web plug in but it never shows video after installing. Not sure if theres an IE setting that prevents it working. Motion Detect grid is an improvement on previous adaptations. Along the lines of the Camera - Conditions profiles, I wish they would have something like Motion Detect - Video Detect Profiles. That way you can have optimal motion detect sensitivity for use at different times of the day.

Just fyi, motion still not working with upgraded firmware for Dahua
-
Dahua has new firmware out that has some update with respect to Onvif. I wonder if this would help to work with Avigilon for motion detection. Latest Version--V2.212 •Multiple nonrectangular areas motion detection with different colors •Multiple Browsers supported •Onvifprofile S V12.12 test tool passed •New API protocol V1.37 •DahuaDigital Signature(Dahuafirmware only) •No clip between mainstream and substream •Add location in Overlay •One version , All HX3(2)XX cameras
-
was I wrong about that being a feature of the camera then? Dahua does support motion detection, but it's just not compatible with Avigilon.

Is this PAL or NTSC?

Cannot recognize the suspect from the CCTV footage

I have an existing cat6 cable run in the wall to my wiring closet, so is it possible to cut the cable on the sensor unit and patch it in to the existing cat6, and have the main unit in the wiring closet? I don't want to rip out part of the wall for the main unit installation. -
Milestone X-Protect Go
finalwish replied to icamera's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Avigilon's target customer is not your 4 camera home owner system. Milestone does market to this customer. What is so bad about that? Also lots of other higher end security products have a confidential pricelists so why pick on Avigilon? That is true. Avigilon doesn't cater to small system. So just be careful buying Avigilon's equipment off of ebay or 3rd party i.e. non-Avigilon partner if you are small fish , since you may have a hard time to resolve any issues if you don't have local dealer support. I've been trying to get Avigilon's referral partner, but it seems I'm too small for their interest. -
I downloaded the file twice but couldn't get it to load on my camera. Says bad file format. I also can't unzip it. Anyone else have any luck? File also seemed a tad small at 10.3 MB vs 12.8 MB for the May 17 2013 release. - Al yep, doesn't work for me either
-
loosen the screws slightly. the wand on the bottom should control the zoom, and the wand toward the front should control the focus.
-
Just loaded the NTSC version on HFW3200 and it seems to work ok so far, although switching between config menu takes a little longer than normal. Interesting to see separate profile capability, now need to play around to see what it can do and how well this improve thing.

Milestone X-Protect Go
finalwish replied to icamera's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Yeah, not quite as easy to setup as Avigilon software. I am still having a problem with setting up with their situation analysis with motion masking; it keeps detecting motion under areas that are masked out. -
Latest that I'm aware of for HFW3200C is V2.103.0000.1.R.20130226.

For me? If so, that's very kind of you! Thank you very much.. If not, I feel totally embarrassed! i'll post it up somewhere if i get it

Dahua Motion Detection sensitivity
finalwish replied to Hathol's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Do you have trees in the picture or shadows of trees? You may have to set up the mask such that those areas are ignored. -
I've put a request for new firmware from reseller. Let's see if they will provide it.
