hi. not if used instead of composit cable. cat5 will give him greater distance. I attach the design, from central equipment to every each PTZ, Fixed camera and Dome camera is 300 - 500 meter, previously I had confirmed to use a Composite Cable (Coax 75Ohm, Cat5e and Power cable) but I look into it, I am very worry if there is a problem with signal according the distance. Now, I want to see, will using fiber optic. Please advice for using fiber optic, what can of equipment need? is it transmitter and receiver for each camera?

I have not use fiber for all my project, I am always using Composite Cable ( with 75Ohm Coaxial, Cat5e and Power cable).. if I am using fiber is that any power to be separated?

Hi All, would you please help me. I had a project in Kalimantan Indonesia, while this project will install new 10 PTZ cameras, 2 Fixed Cameras and 10 Dome Cameras. the problem is central equipment to each camera around 600 feet and central equipment to Control room is 500 feet. Please advice: 1) what the best solution for type of cables? Composite or fiber optic 2) do have a separate central equipment? thanks before guys.
