    yes smc or linksys or other routers are slow on local network transfer ~4mb so try to get a local 4-24 port 10/100 or 1000mb swich and use only 1 port on smc as uplink to internet or wireless port only not for local network traffic dusan

    hi your tamron is a video iris lens on dc lens you do not need a connector soldering on video iris lens you do any good lens of f1:0 or better is good if you can use that view size i tested a fuji 1.4mm f1.4 dc lens and its nice wide angle and sharp and tested 4mm f0.75 and it is not very good for low light not much help from fast lens on this pixim d1000 1/3" cmos wd camera, to much video noise at low light,have 2 diffren bioses in camera's and one is better looking,so bios makes a big diffrence in this pixim cmos cameras everfocus eq600 wdll looks like it uses pixim d2000 cmos chipset, so get a serial cable and software to do a setup optimization on it and let see some low light jpg's and let me see a copy of user manual dusan

  4. record tv 60 sec or more of complex fast moving video and divide to get 1 fps size mpeg4 is not a 1 frame base video only if moving fast ( ~60fps or faster changing video you will have full frame size limited by compresion ) typ fast moving complex size of 1fps video for mpeg4 for 320x240 is 8-25k depending on compresion level and as low as ~1k if not much is change from frame to frame,so for good start 15k for frame as calc base and 768k adsl line ~ 75k : 15k = 5fps of fast moving video at fair pixalation so you can watch video at 2x size 640 x480 dusan
  5. this 25fps mpeg4 is not at 30mb sec uncompresed video it is compress (6-20) to mpeg4 on fly at 25fps on all 8ch by super fast cpu and ms win xp mpeg4 sw that is why i only say that gv900 or gv1000 can handle this video in ic's on the pci board and fastest computer you can have for mpeg4 compresion procesing at best kvality you can get out of pci computer bandwith ~90mb if you have many pci boards in system that have nany irq , intel chipset's limit and you still need to record all that on hd so more irq on pci bus , 1gb network so intel 875 or 925 chipset asus mbord and 3ghz and up cpu and 2 hd 1 boot 1 for video new mpeg4 ic's silicon is comming soon so all this will happen in hardware ic's not on the computer pci or x bus dusan

    Tamron lens help

    on my paper for computar 2.7-8mm f1.0 lens is say use filter for bw camera on back of lens and i have a extra spacer - lens to camera "it is for b/w camera aberration compensation filter" my day and nite b/w video is not looking sharp so i need to do more test on this do some test on complex video (~2x2ft wrinkel tin foil at 10ft at any light) and see how it looks dusan

  11. ok you internet wan speed is 768k up nice for cable to me it looks like your app is taking a speed limit from your wan speed seting's,how many nic's you have in the box local and wan nic look at the seting for all your wan speed's ,windows mplayer,real,etc it is posible that your limit on local lan is limited by your seting for internet wan speed,set all internet / wan for local net speed's 100mb or unlimited if you have that option,google video on xp sp2 speed limit so what is your frame size ? and see if that help at the moment i use only geovision card's and axis 2400 server's and no problem on local speed limit and 1gb nic's 1gb switch dusan
  12. i do not think you have 768k upload speed from your isp on cable modem and 3 fps is all you get , from present seting of size and compresion level test the size in kb of your 1 frame and see how much data it is and you can calculate the internet speed you need for faster frame rate at same compres if you can get a adsl by speakeasy.net 6000/768k ~$108 and 4-8 static ip's than you can have faster frame rate 768k after overhead is ~620k speed for now this is best deal for internet in usa for upload speed and static ip's capture one frame and see the size and do the calc 3fps at ~768k / 620k : 8 : 3 = 26k is one image frame 3fps at ~384k / 300k : 8 :3 = 12.5k is one image frame so what is your frame size and what is your real isp internet speed noting to do on your side of network or your computer to speed it up dusan

    hi everfocus company it not open website (and that is stupid system) so i do not have a password for a eq600 pdf manual,it looks like it uses pixim 2000 chipset if it have a rs232 port and you can update bios on this model if stupid company policy put it on a website for you to downlod i do not know if lens mount is fix or cs so you can swap it for diffrent size and f 0.8-1.0 stop for better nite sensitivity it looks good on paper many options from pixim chipset are implemented anybody have password for pdf manual or a camera for test and software to see how it works ??? dusan

    hi after looking at the ge ultra manual it looks good better than baxal hyperd if you need 3 video out's ge ultra have 3 video out baxall only one video out and light color is wider on ge ultra 2500-11k rest i think is same so only difference is a menu = bios and if you can download and update bios in field,and it do not look as you can,no outside jport connector,have to open a camera and so far did not see any download site for new bios, so it looks as if you want to update your camera you need to send it back to factory rep new bios i am geting will have day/nite mode and some more option then i have now in my hyperd camera price of ge ultra is ~$400 and for now that is lower than rest wd pixim chipset cameras so its all down to price and options you need dusan

    hi http://ihms.org/sanyo_and_samsung_low_light_secu.htm#SCC-B2305 did not use this model ,i think mintron 62w1 is better on paper like to see one how well it works and quality of workmanship i look at that samsung and it is a super had ccd technology (not ex ccd) and a 2 memory storage pages and some dsp work same as mintron it do not say anyting how many zone's and it is only 1/3" ccd so mintron 62w1 is still looking better by the technology used 1/2" ccd and 48 zone light metering , 1/2" ccd will be better then 1/3" for light sensitivity (bigger pixel size = more light colected in less time) and samsung camera specs look to me litle strech from truth and not very usable as it is 160x ~ 1.25sec ? time light exposure for 0.001lx in bw mode so for now give it time and next year new 1/2" wd pixim chipset is out that will be better and less cpu heat and more light sensitivity day/nite mode ex had ccd is 2 x more light sensitive then super had ccd and 1/2" 2x more than 1/3" and you add f0.75 lens and you have best combination for low light and if you need more light you can add ir for short (50ft) range lighting dusan

    testing hyperd as all good wd cameras are base on pixim chipset technology and it look better in suny day than sony dc50a ex ccd or sony bw m324 still need some more work on bios geting new hyperd with better (day/nite code) new bios on 9/29/y4 i still can see some sun wash out parts in image so this ~380k pixel exposure control zone system is not working as in a white paper note proposal for now its better then anyting else i seen , so 2nd or 3rd generation of this technology will be big step forward in cctv cameras 10min iterval for 2 days of 3 cam hyperd as cam1 fuji 1.4mm set up to fit a view f1.4 lens and cam3 hyperd cam3 4mm 1/2" f0.75 lens cam2 sony ex bw m324 2.7mm f1.0 lens jpg from axis 2400 50 compresion 704x480 http://www.houstoncomputer.com/~dusan/av/2400arc/ dusan

    looking for 0.001lux for start in Wide Dynmamic Camera so it can work at any light and get some image in star or moon light and at the moment hyperd or ge ultra are not at 480 res even if the manual is saying as it is 480h x 400v it do not look to me will need to get some res charts to test and low cost (~$150 range ) lux meter dusan

    i do not think is good for garage if you do not have light level for it at the moment this technology is not low light level (0.5-1.0 lux) as the company specs is listing in a manual new model (bigger than present 1/3" cmos sensor new 1/2") will be out next year and more sensitive ??? have some hyperd ~900 jpg files of my 3 cameras of 2 days 10 min interval if you like to see let me know i am trying to get some linux html video gallery for display so can see a day to nite video expecting some more good news soon (new better bios for a camera day/nite option ) dusan
  23. if it is " It is fairly well lit." do not buy any ir camera you do not need it save the money and get a better camera hi res wdr day/nite all bulet cameras are poor choice for good image cctv system bulet camera is only if noting else will work for what you need to do or you want low cost solution and good lens good size image sensor is a limiting factor of all bulet cameras bigger the lens and the sensor the better the camera only the drive to make it cheep is making it all geting smaller and a spycam in a button (1/6" ccd for cctv what a crap) i just seen new canon 17mil pixel 35mm cmos sensor at ~5000 x 3300 res and that is what we all need and 0.0001lx sensitivity and for that you need size so you can see at nite no light just star light or moon light and have good dynamic light range dusan

    first you will need auto lens dc or ai lens at nite is max open (f0.75) at day is max closed (~f22) for good image so depth of focus at ~f6 and up is good and a lens is minimum of your problem get a best hi res ( 400-520 line wdr ) camera you can problem is a sun washing you image out if you have big diffrence in brightnes even the best camera will wash out so at 25ft on in sun you will not see any detail if sun is hit it you object if you want to see some samples i can send you link of my test of wdr hyperd1 and its still wash out by sun and i use f0.75 on one and f1.4 on hyperd3 and f1.0 on bw sony ex 324 0.05lx at nite dusan
  25. tccc is a samsung speed grade and it is top model top grade of pc3200 memory and if you look for same grade in kingston it will cost you 2 x more for same memory only kingston claim is lifetime (???) replacement last time i look kingston is all big hype if you have the money to waste its ok dusan
