I've been working on getting my camera setup so I can view it externally. It's to the point where I can get the web admin screen and login but I can't seem to get the video stream to work. I know it has something to do with the port, but I thought I have it correct. Here is what the camera settings are: and here is the port forwarding in my Airport Extreme (I forwarded a bunch of ports in hoping I could get it to work): Anything obvious?

No external main stream for Dahua/EYEsurv cam?
gregcctv replied to NotSoSimple's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I have a similar issue with viewing the Dahua in "Web Service V3.0" but in my case, I'm able to view the Sub Stream, just not the Main Stream or the Preview (the one you ARE able to view). I'm guessing it may be a matter of streaming bandwidth? In your case, you can probably view the preview because the bandwidth it consumes is much lower than the Sub or Main stream — I'm just not certain what exactly is restricting it, the ISP? the camera? Let me know if you figuring anything out and I will do the same. -
External IP access: able to login but no video stream?
gregcctv replied to gregcctv's topic in Security Cameras
The CAMERA's (not the DVR) IP is the default 192.168.1.108. Port 80 is forwarding correctly as I can access the web admin interface via my.ip.address:80 but the problem is that the video stream inside the web admin is not working - it has the "broken camera" icon. I was assuming that it's because the video stream needs a different port forwarded? -
Hey all. Total noob here so assume the worst.. I finally got my Dahua IPC-HDB3200CP-0360B (Date: 2012- setup: the sequence is Airport Extreme > 24AWG Cat6 UTP Ethernet Cable > TP-Link POE Injector > 26AWG Cat5 Ethernet Cable > Dahua IPC-HDB3200CP-0360B Camera. I'm viewing it via the web interface as well as the PSS V4.04 desktop software [http://www.bahamassecurity.com/downloads/dahua-pss-software.asp] and accessing it via my local network only. In the software it has the tilt/pan controls. BUT, the camera doesn't even flinch - no movement or sound of attempted movement. Is it possibly the ethernet cables I'm using? Faulty camera that needs to be returned? Inadequate software? Firmware update needed? Nooby moron? _GregCCTV_

Thank you goldserve for living up to your user name - you are letting me down gently that I'm a fkn moron and assumed that we can buy <$200 cameras that act like they are on Blade Runner. If I could delete this thread, I would, but I suppose after a couple months of hanging out around here, I can look back at this for a laugh. -
