  1. I THINK I may have found a solution - the cables and power adapters that came with this aren't the sturdiest. After fiddling with the connection between the power adapter and the wire, voila. If they continue to be wonky - I'll likely just splice the wires together and by pass the quick connect.
  2. I recently purchased this packaged system: http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?InvtId=A-BR18B5-C-PB-R It comes with this DVR: http://www.aposoniccctv.com/index.php/standalone/8chdvr/108 and 5 of these cameras: http://www.aposoniccctv.com/index.php/camera/fixedlens/137 I've never set a system up like this so it's my first go. Purchased an AV 1 TB WD SATA hard drive, installed, set to NTSC. Formatted the hard drive at first boot. I'm still not clear on the alarm partition vs normal but I'm reading on that one. The problems is with the cameras. I have two installed - the image doesn't come up consistently. At first not at all - I get v loss error scrolling across the bottom. I thought it had something to do with motion sensors on cameras. I turned that off. I figured this would be 'plug and play' but it seems more than that. Wondering if anyone has experience with this particular system and cameras. Glad I found this resource and thanks in advance.
