    tvt dvr

I thought Hebrew was already available... Sorry I can't read it but since they have so many it might be one of them?
  4. Could also be due to it being a 5 MP camera... are your other cameras 5 MP too?
  5. Turn down the gain as much as you can while still maintaining a good picture. I have mine at 63...default was 100 (its under Exposure setting) my DNR is set at 100 and seems to help. The more gain, the brighter the picture, but more noise i think.

HD-SDI backward compatibility with analog CCTV cameras

Get HD TVI, the Hikvision TVI DVR is compatible with analog cameras too. and TVI cameras are fairly reasonable priced...Are you in the states? Since its fairly new its not easy to find.
  7. Buellwinkle, sounds like sub-stream from the camera isn't working, try to default the camera or upgrade firmware. The reason why it shows up using that little play button is because that pulls the main stream. (from what i have seen before) When you view 2x2, you will view the sub-stream of the cameras, so if the substream of the camera isn't working, you will just see a black box. if you view 1+5, the 1 will be main stream and the 5 others will be sub-stream. Lastly, check your live view setting, maybe its just off. when you full screen that one camera that is off, do you see video? Configuration->Live view->then you'll see 2 tabs, General and View. Under View, make sure all the boxes are filled with the channels. Through this menu is also how you move the cameras around in the display. But yea, firmware upgrade, default + restart fixes most problems with the NVR and camera. hope it helps~

    Installation & Labor Price

"are they a fixed cost labor+materials?" Most of my customers are this model. They also mark up the materials a bit to make more profit. Then sometimes extra service calls after the job are like $50-70 per visit. If its your first install I suggest you go with a local distributor with dedicated tech support rather than a zmodo brand where the support is spotty and long waiting time. If your distributor is good enough they will offer any of the following service: -teamviewer into your laptop to do the port forwarding for you -help you setup specific motion detection region and recording -help with password reset -rename your cameras for you -walk you through how to backup the data -basically do the job of a software/setup technician for you for free.

    Dahua HD-CVI systems

I heard Night vision is very noisy...i would test out a camera in a dark room first before installing or in an area with no light...but i guess this can be solved with security lighting or external IR illumintor. Day picture is ok, better than 960h but not as good as 1.3mp for IP and HD SDI, but price structure is almost same as 600 tvl analog so can't complain. Lots of distributors trying to clear out HD SDI and HD CVI because of HD TVI, you might be able to get some good deals....maybe that's why the kit is $299... I thought winic only sold to other suppliers, how dare they! lol
  10. Most big companies don't care about customer service AFTER they make the sale its very sad. Will you keep the swann system if you can just get some fixed domes that will work with it?

Hello: I'm new and looking for information on HD SDI

Just saw some Hikvision HD TVI demo in person today, quality is 99% like HD SDI but the colors weren't as rich. but it gave a solid signal through a spool of 1000 ft of good RG 59 and local power adapter. Night time weren't as noisy as HD SDI also. Also the camera had a regular BNC output for using traditional tester.
  12. I believe Swann OEM from many vendors...they don't make their own stuff. Its pretty tough to tell who you will get. You want to go with reputable manufacturer or OEM with known manufacturer. 720 p might not be that good for warehouse (I imagine large spaces?) I'm not a fan of bundles because you are locked into their configuration in order to get a bundled price.
  13. Not really that cheap, you guys just aren't familiar with pricing I think. That kit looks like Swann/Dahua items. 1.3mp fixed lens = $89-119 /ea 8 ch NVR with 4 POE = $199 on sale, $299 usually 2 TB drive = $90 from amazon, $100-120 from supplier The kit didn't even come with Hard drive...or mention of POE Any local distributor should be able to come close to that price with Hikvision or Dahua equipment. Don't buy from amazon, if you buy Swann get it from Costco, generous warranty and return policy. What system are you going with now? Maybe you are being overcharged...
  14. Honestly local distributors aren't that technical either (good technical people costs alot of money), but they would at least honor their warranty and give you a new/working replacement (which doesn't cost that much compared to hiring a full time, live person).

    DS-7716NI-SP

Good ! 77 series are pretty good.
  16. you need ivms 4500 from the app store.

Cheap budget, but lots of cameras....

you can also use hybrid NVRs then you have best of both worlds
  18. Yes please don't mix and match, seen too much of this at work and it never ends well. Well only time that it works fine is when you have to pay for the licenses to add a camera...(Geovision NVR with Hikvision cameras, or exacq with Hikvision) But not the other way around!

    Help with DVR

Probably hit tor miss depending on your DVR maker: my Hikvision one will tell you what channel they did the playback on, my TVT one just lets you know someone played back something but not which channel.
  20. RTSP port 554 HTTP port 80 I.P address whatever you set it to using SADP user name admin password 12345 decode buffer leave as default or blank remote channel 1 (i think)

Cheap budget, but lots of cameras....

Is the 7 K including labor? How much is your budget just for equipment?
  22. try to use SADP (hikvision's IP detection/changing tool) to configure the camera separately first to be under the built-in POE's network setting then use 'manual add' in remote device using Onvif protocol. also change the password to 12345 (hik's default password) . I have 2 hikvision camera with a dahua NVR but with external POE, works ok but motion detection isn't 100%.
  23. You can use cheap Onvif cameras with ivms 4500 but only through a hikvision NVR first (which is actually pretty cheap if you get the models without POE and hard drives) Heck I used to pair a sunell brand onvif (from china) camera with a hik nvr and the even the audio worked lol, but app only worked on iphone...but this was year ago maybe things changed Don't expect motion recording though. But then again how much cheaper is your ONVIF camera? Hikvision camera is already pretty inexpensive now
  24. Costco and Bed Bath and Beyond have amazing return service, i had a massage pilliow that broke, almost 1 year, took it back to BB&B and showed them my receipt and they told me just grab a new one off the shelf, no restocking fee or anything! CCTV OEM usually have good caring, sales people but bad support and rigid return policies with restocking fee for every little thing (since they make the same money regardless of chasing away customers.)
