    QVIS DOME CAMERAS OPINIONS PLZ

some examples may be: domestic external; go for 600tvl, c/w 15M LEDs or better Commercial general view; 600tvl (+ IR LEDs for external use) Commercial high security; 2Megapixel IP or better These cameras must be matched by suitable recorders (i.e for 600tvl cameras; analogue recorder with 250GB or better, networking if needed. for IP camera, speak your best local professional CCTV Installer to get the best out of the system. E.g. Dallmeier do a recorder which can mix'n'match various IP cameras) Ensure there is enough lighting in the area day and night. Wide Dynamic Range is a bonus on all cameras

    QVIS DOME CAMERAS OPINIONS PLZ

All kit mentioned so far is entry level and you usually get what you pay for. A high-end camera will perform better in demanding situations; e.g. night, strong sunlight. Any reputable seller will stand over cameras with defective focus. Viola DVRs work fine, but you need a little practice to use the mouse control. some have network capability and i prefer to connect to them with a PC. QVIS do an entry level DVR a little easier to use than the Viola. Not sure if there is a price difference.

    Hello

I have done a lot of professional cctv and have learned the more you know the more you know there is to know, lol. currently interested in tillscan for cctv. If you are a whiz with VSI-PRO please let me know pmb
  6. (newbie, please forgive ignorance of this subject) VSI-Pro is a tillscan interface to overlay epos sales data onto a camera image recorded onto a cctv recorder. I would like to collect the sales data from the serial port on the tills and input it to the VSI-PRO. This system was working but was shelved for a couple of years during a refurb. There are 2 tills Geller ET6600 (c/w internal serial interface board) Geller ET6800 (serial port on left side of till) There are 2 VSI-PRO tillscan interfaces (circa 2000) What I've tried and failed: Serial at till: pin3 = data +, pin5 = ground Serial at VSI-Pro: pin2 = data+, pin5 = ground 20M cable run using CAT5e cable VSI-Pro programming: REGISTER SELECT: (Tilltype) = Generic COMMUNICATIONS: RX baudrate = 9600 TX baudrate = 9600 parity = even databits = 7 (also tried 8.) handshake = off auto linefeed = off (also tried on) Can someone point me in the right direction, please?
