BestPriceCctv replied to mark_kinesense's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi There are alot of factors they play into fact with this Depents on how fast the cars are moving You need a good recording system that has good seaching I have setup a few in service bays, street corners, parks, grocery stores The best system is 3vr if you have a budget for it can do everything your looking for Use axis ip cameras are very good for this job You can also do lpr and counting on cheaper dvrs but it comes down to how much time you want to earch and look up the plates when 10000 cars go by a day And the cheaper dvrs are a mess to get going sometimes if you need some help pm me ive also done alot of facial reconition and lpr and im a certified installer for 3vr -
NEED A HELP ON WEBCLIENT !!
BestPriceCctv replied to robinselvam's topic in General Digital Discussion
usually you need to open mobile port for dvr do they have a mobile app if not try Meye that works on alot china stuff Dont forget to setup a dns or domain name ie: myhouse.com as alot of newer dvrs wont allow just a ip address anymore ie: 66.444.56.786 you will need a dns name if your not running a static ip or you will have to always update your ip address to domain name -
What kind of dvr is it What browser are you using What operating system Did you set ip in dvr Did you test the port is open

Use a nvr and tie it into your system The budget is not that high But ip is the way to go -
Did you check to see if cameras are getting power
-
if the hard drive is good and you know it, Id look at the power supply,Iv seen so many of there china dvrs with a switching power supply go dead after 5 min it will still power dvr on buy wont provide power for hard drive As to wireless adapter yes you can set it up but you are looking for more issues than a hard line

ive used a few q see systems they are just ok i would look at spending a little more and get something better

Its best to stream direct from the camera to a website unless your using your dvr as a demo

how do i keep someone from logging into my cameras?
BestPriceCctv replied to bobp's topic in General Digital Discussion
you have to sign into the camera directly and add a password to the vivoteck camera ie: 192.168.0.xxx Only way people would have access to these cameras is if you opened ports for your cameras ip address Are u using a nvr then all should be fine Password your nvr even change from port 80 to something like 9090 and mobile stream 9001 -

Usually u stream direct from the camera to avoid software downloads to view the stream or Some cameras have stream servers built in and will also generate a http or https stream link You will have lots of issues if you try to stream direct from dvr or setup a media server a other way
