Q-SEE NVR QC804
dexterash replied to andresdamas's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
"hack it", look under the coolers and stuff Unplugged PoE router should reset the NVR - as a safety measure.. BTW, uppper limit of DAHUA NVRs has been raised to 4TB. -
Q-SEE NVR QC804
dexterash replied to andresdamas's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
It's an ARM based with a dedicated coprocessor for decoding H.264 (as I do know, it's a Broadcom). -
Q-SEE NVR QC804
dexterash replied to andresdamas's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Actually, recording doesn't eat too many CPU cycles since the video is already encoded by the camera (thus the NVR only writes the stream to the HDD - in a brute way to say) Decoding&displaying it's what eats up CPU cycles. -

Not destroy, but the least problem is if you brick the uBoot or the UBL - you will need JTAG to rewrite. Also, there is some sort of hardware key. Accesing it incorrectly/damage to firmware/bootloader may brick the MB. L.E: the hardware key communication/init is done at uBoot load. -
Q-SEE NVR QC804

since it's a firmware made for QSEE, i can't tell what will happen at upgrade/firmware change or when/if qsee will release a newer firmware -
Q-SEE NVR QC804
dexterash replied to andresdamas's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
it works like that (request a firmware update from QSEE) if not, try to add them manually - the only thing to pay attention is to setup the IP of the WAN port of the NVR to be in the same class as your other cameras also, try to setup the internal router of the NVR with an IP class that differes from your router's -
I doubt (although i might be wrong) that DAHUA uses FAT32 format. Usually, they use their own file system. Reason? Security. For example, you cannot erase a period of time on DAHUA's DVRs/NVRs (only the whole HDDs)
-
you can do it via TCP from DAHUA SDK... probably you will have to sniff packets to see how it really does
-
what do you wish to achive, as a result? details of the setup?

IPC-HDB3200C new firmware
dexterash replied to Caporeira's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Isn't it simpler to buy from a DAHUA authorized dealer? And get free updates? -
The best way it's to use a NVR... besides recording, it also decodes and displays the cameras, via VGA or HDMI.
-
Maybe your DVR can upload via FTP/CIFS(SAMBA) the recordings to a NAS device.

Blue Iris Video Recording freezes (VIDEO)
dexterash replied to EOppie's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Does the whole computer freeze or just the recording? If only the recording, maybe it's a switch that makes the problem or the NIC (packet loss, buffer full etc). It does the same with only one cam? What if you direcly connect the camera to the PC? -
Dahua IPC-HDB3200C ftp path, snapshot url, X - axis?
dexterash replied to oh6hfx's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
i think it's trying to store the recording too, besides the snapshot -
DIY IP-66 Survived Sandy: Bragging Rights?
dexterash replied to PeteCress's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Outside focus can also be used as outside "defocus", that's why some of the cameras have it inside, usually with some uncommon tools to do it. -
just my opinion, but that doesn't sound like a project for a newbie... study a little about networks, switches, limitations, cables etc (also bandwidth, internal switch bandwidth...)

WiFi or Wired? + General
dexterash replied to scottl31's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
well, people usually use dictionary-based passwords, right? secondly, the captcha is nothing if: -someone bruteforces the login directly -sniffers your login credentials (i suppose it doesn't use HTTPS, right?) - MitM attack -sniffers directly the protocol You would say that no one will try this, but think about the huge advantages that anyone can gain... it's not like you leave the door open, but close to it I would keep away from WiFi at all costs. -
WiFi or Wired? + General

As a small question (for all wireless users)... what happens if your WiFi gets hacked? -
More than 4 cameras on a Dahua NVR?
dexterash replied to RickyGee's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
will you, please, stop "Tarzan"ing the english language and, also, get over "OH, AVER, OH GOD"... things could get better I know everyone can put/write anything on a forum and also sell anything to anybody, but, please, be decent... -
Dahua IPC-HDB3200C ftp path, snapshot url, X - axis?
dexterash replied to oh6hfx's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
One last shot: get the DAHUA SDK from DAHUA's website and open the config application, using 37777 as login port... You shouldn't be using a 3rd solution to use a product that's been design to work without the 3rd solution -
More than 4 cameras on a Dahua NVR?
dexterash replied to RickyGee's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
ok so xx stands for alarms ??????? nvr3204 means no alarm but for channel ???? lets take the spec of the nvr3204 or 08 or 16 there all the same 400/480fps@D1, 200/240fps@720P , 100/120fps@1080P your saying at D1 the 4 way will do 480fps in total. dahua only print the best spec alway of the 16 way hence 480 over 16 = 30fps (which is right) 3204: 4ch@D1 / 4ch@720P / 4ch@1080P, max display 4 (2x2), 4 alarm inputs 3208: 8ch@D1 / 8ch@720P / 4ch@1080P, max display 8+1 for stats(3x3), 8 alarm inputs 3216: 16ch@D1 / 8ch@720P / 4ch@1080P, max display 16(4x4), 16 alarm inputs Instead of reading all kind of specs on the Internet, get your hands on the models, update them to the latest firmware and test. And yes, if there was a camera outhere that could do encoding and streaming H.264 at 100/120fps@D1, the NVR could probably take up to 4 of these... you could also check the prices, since a 3208 it's not twice as 3204.... doesn't that ring a bell? -
More than 4 cameras on a Dahua NVR?
dexterash replied to RickyGee's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
hi the 3208 cant run 7 cameras .....well it can but only at D1. all dahua specs even for the 4 way only shows the spec as a 16 way DAHUA 3208 will run up to 8 cameras with 25fps@720p (/channel) - tested and working! Downside from 3216 that it will only display/record/configure max 8 cams (even at D1) (vs 16) and has only 8 alarm inputs (not 16). Please be aware that the whole 32XX series have the same specs for toal max fps@max resolution (1080p), 2 HDDs, FullHD output, sync playback for recordings. The XX stands for how many alarm inputs and how many total channels it can display/record, but keeping in mind the total fps/bitrate. -
Logitech vs Dahua - NVR vs Synology - Help Needed
dexterash replied to marley1's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Depends (my opinion) on how you setup the camera. For instance, CBR not VBR, motion detection setup on zones of trigger/interest - leaving out trees of anything that can move and generate false alarms (not on whole image), tweaking the motion detection level etc -
IPC-HFW2100 IR Problems

check for the IR filter in front of the sensor (if it's still there)... -

dexterash replied to RickyGee's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
well you can preview in 1080p up to 16 channels (if they are D1) or 8 ch (720p) or 4 ch (1080p) AVER has support for 1080p output? as in...can someone put a 1080p camera fullscreen on AVER and get 1080p resolution? BTW, please post a full spec for NANO and other series you are refferring - including fps/channel or fps/total and codec supported for decoding and/or recording
