SMRT (Singapore mass rapid transit) uses march networks (http://www.marchnetworks.com/casestudies/smrt/default.asp) so there must be a local reseller...

10 minutes from their HQ and are a darling in town due to their earnings and public offering - Sir Terry Matthews also carries a lot of publicity...I work in the security industry as well. Market Cap over CDN$400Million now...

march also has an agreement with sprint for treo's access to march video in the retail space...not sure if it is Edge or 1xRt or other... -
It really is good if you go for the server transaction method - I know the guy in Ireland that installed it (Will Power is his name, no joke)...nothing like it supposedly...I believe Foodstuffs in NZ has it installed already - the person mentioned at Foodstuffs as a reference is Carolynne Ball, loss prevention project manager... http://www.marchnetworks.com/casestudies/foodstuffs.asp

How big of hard drives do you normally provide?
Bluto replied to jisaac's topic in Digital Video Recorders
It should not matter how much hard drive space is there, it should be a question of how many days you want to record and calculate the storage needed. Customize the space needed for the application is the best practise. If the manufacturer can't calculate the storage needed based on quality, frame rate, motion, and image complexity they probably don't produce a good product. -
Does anyone know something about marchnetworks dvr?
Bluto replied to jsimon's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
I don't know about you guys but a company that is selling 45 million a year in DVR's and software is not a small player by any stretch...mostly to banks and retailers though. http://www.marchnetworks.com/pdf/investors/financial/MarchNetworksQ405_financials_June10_final.pdf -
Rory, I have seen you mention you were looking for their pricing...I have a copy of their MSRP price list - don't have dealer prices though. Let me know.

March Networks 3204 DVR - 4 Cameras/60 FPS, 1 Audio channel built-in, optional 2nd channel - embedded OS....45 days of storage (high quality), 15 FPS/Camera (60 FPS Total), 60% motion...MSRP$2915...I would put their video quality up against anyone, anywhere....http://www.marchnetworks.com/products/3204dvr.asp

try Digital Monitoring Products - www.dmp.com - as they have the best network based IP alarm capability. Another one out of Australia that I would rank number 2 is Pacom.
-
WalMart has over 4000 March Networks DVR's installed according to their cabling company.
-
March Networks SDK for their DVR's. Write your own software in any language and view video/audio/alarms/etc.

Bluto replied to sf1964's topic in Digital Video Recorders
March Networks 3108 DVR - 8 cameras, 60 fps...not a bad system for 8 cameras under 2K but there are some more price units out there with 120 fps, etc... -
If the web service is running in the background of Embedded XP, it is still vunerable to worms.
