  1. You may look at Bosch Video Management or BVMS as they refer to it. Other than the price how was your experience with Milestone? We have just taken them on as a new vendor but I don't have much experience with their product yet and I'd like to get the thoughts of someone with who has worked with the product. Thanks.
  2. Bosch Access Easy Controller or AEC 2.1 has been a great product for our company this year. It's very robust and super easy to setup. It can handle 4 doors and 4 readers strait out of the box so you'll need an extension panel to accommodate the 6 doors that you need and that will also give you 2 to grow on. Farm,wi-fi bridge and a ptz camera

The product that your looking at is actually a wireless encoder in order for it to work you have to make sure that it has RS-485 controls. What I would recommend is using an IP camera with on board storage like this one. https://www.samsung-security.com/products/security-cameras/network-cameras/ptz-domes/SNP-5200H.aspx I haven't used this model before but I have used samsung ptz cameras in the past with great success. As for communication I would go with a point to point wireless bridge. For the distance you specified I would go with this. http://www.ubnt.com/airmax#nanostationm It's a rock solid product with lots of throughput and very competitively priced. In order to control the camera you just need to be able to connect to it. Samsung has mobile apps available for Iphone and Android. Make sure to go with a class 10 SD card since it is HD. Good Luck!

    Milestone Bosch

Has anyone used Milestone Xprotect with Bosch cameras. The website says that they are supported but we all know with open platform VMS some cameras play better than others. I've been using Bosch Advantage NDC265-p for a while and seem to work great but I've never used them with Milestone. Appreciate any thoughts.

    CCTV WareHose Ground Lopping

I have had issues before with the electrical outlet feeding my DVR or monitor having and open ground and since the camera is mounted on the side of a metal building which is more than likely grounded it uses your camera and coax as the ground. A simple way to test is to remove the camera from the building plug it in and check the pic. If this fixes the problem you should have an electrician look at the outlet. Good Luck!

    Login Failed on eyemax dv-9120

Hi there. I was excited to see this post because I have used eyemax products for about 4 years now and I'm familiar with your setup. You need to forward three ports I believe it's 9091 9092 80. To verify this go to control>setup>network and click the details box next to the port number in the dvr server box. You have to have all three forwarded or it wont work. It sounds like you've got port 80 open but not the other two. Also try downloading the client software from eyemaxdvr.com same ports but the interface is a bit more in depth. Best of luck!

KTL DVR 4104 and power for cameras

Check your dvr setup menu for options labeled Initialize or Format this will erase everything on the discs. Your power supply should be fine but I try not to run power further than 300' using 18 gauge wire. Here's a good link for wire gauge http://phd.boschsecurity.us/wiregage_cal.cfm
  8. The lines that your referring to are called hum bars and are caused by electrical interferince. its possible that the power source that your camera is using has an open ground or some sort of issue I'd try a different source. I had a camera do the same thing and I found that once I removed the camera from the metal building it was attached to it worked perfectly. Best of luck.
  9. You need to find out what ports your AXXON software uses and forward those ports to the servers LAN IP this is done within your Trendnet router and will also need to be done in any other equipment between your server and the cloud. Depending on the software you will also need to make sure that the web service is active. Check out this link for the port forwarding.

    new to the dvr world

Your DVR may not have a built in web server and may require some sort of client software. Try checking the network settings and and make sure that when you try accessing it from your web browser that your using the proper port. Good Luck!
  11. Has anyone used any of the Vivotek encoders the VS8801 in particular? I'm looking to pair them with Exacqvision Pro. Ive used Exacq with Panasonics WJ-GXE500 and they work great but are little pricey. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
