I purchased Dahua HCVR5216A-S2 Newest Version . It is set to PAL. On the drop down menu there is not an option for NTSC. Is there a firmware upgrade that will correct this ? thanks

I have a Hikvision DS-7608NI-SE2/8P 8 Channel POE nvr. So far I have one Hikvision camera which no problem working. I have an Empire Security Cameras Model: IPC1-V 3.0 POE that is supposed to be compatible. When I have that camera hooked up through a network switch I can view it through NVR. When I hook it up through the NVR POE port I cannot get it to work. Can someone please explain in simple details on how I can get non Hikvision cameras to work through the Hikvision NVR POE ports ? thanks

I set it manually to the IP address of the camera, onvif. I will check the port lights and FW version tonight when I get home. Nelly security guy replied the following With that camera if you are trying to use the IP from the network simply edit one of the pre determined cameras to reflect your IP address. If you are trying to plug it into the POE then you will need to configure the IP of the camera to reflect the internal POE of the NVR. I dont understand what he means

Hello, I am trying to understand the difference between a bad, good or better DVR. A couple of years ago i started messing around with cctv at my home. i am an electrician so running wires etc. is easy for me. I bought cameras which I thought were pretty good but I am now upgrading to 700 tvl which are a huge improvement. Of course everyone that I know wants a system so I need technical help. below is a link of the DVR that I have. My questions are, is it any good ? If I wanted to upgrade then what should I look for ? thanks http://www.ebay.com/itm/170653443642?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
