DVR PTZ no iris control..grrrrrrr !
aruegger replied to Fuzzyjets's topic in Digital Video Recorders
I cannot find reference to any of those serials. If the company went out of business you may be out of luck for a software upgrade. However in special cases it may be possible to reformat your DVR with different software. I would visit www.pelco.com/community and as their tech team since all you have to work with is their cameras and some unknown serial numbers/equipment. Best of luck -

PELCO ICS300-CRV3A connection
aruegger replied to imya86's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
What power supply are you using (Model / Series)? "The ICS300 Series can be equipped with three options. The ICS300- AP adapter plate allows adaption to a 2 gang electrical box, the ICS300-SS sun shroud helps shield the unit from sun in outdoor applications, and the ICS300-COND allows the unit to be used in applications requiring conduit. All models are designed for either 12 VDC or 24 VAC operation. Each unit is provided with two quick-connect mating connectors with leads; one for 12 VDC and one for 24 VAC. Just select the appropriate connector for your application, wire the leads to your power source with wing nuts, and snap the connectors together – it’s that simple!" Source: http://www.hcwt.com/pelco/pelco-security-camera-ics300.pdf If this doesn't help visit Pelco's community site www.pelco.com/community and post your question w/ images and their tech support will solve your problem. Hope this helps. -

What are your CPU specs? Digital Sentry is the Pelco brand NVR software, its reliable and should fit your situation - I use it with 8 Spectra III's and am quiet content. I believe you can download it for free "And best of all, DS NVs can be downloaded from our web site free of charge and comes with four free licenses for Pelco IP cameras or encoders." -Pelco site Digital Sentry Page: http://www.pelco.com/sites/global/en/products/video-management-solutions/digital-sentry.page I can't find the download URL, I usually go to their online community instead of bouncing around their site which is www.pelco.com/community - if DS isn't for you they will recommend a different one for you. Hope this helps, cheers. -
Survtech beat me to it, you can use a CM9760-DMR device. It allows you to have several input control sources (with different protocols) which can control your PTZ cameras. The control source priority is set on a hardware level (port1 has higher priority, port 2 is the next, etc). Info if needed: CM9760-DMR data sheet: http://www.global-download.schneider-electric.com/85257689000007EE/all/7A4FA49B5B90AC9F852577D8001A99D8/$File/en%5Fc1520%20cm9760%2Ddmr%5Fr110110.pdf CM9760-DMR manual: http://www.global-download.schneider-electric.com/852575770039EC5E/all/B96B0ACC089788C285257633005BF826/$File/c1520mf.pdf good luck.

Mounting cameras to a glass building?
aruegger replied to videoVIP's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
... I understand the point, as he said drilling is out of the question so obviously the cables are going to be run up the side of the building or snaked through an undisclosed hole in the exterior..just mentioning an additional idea for mounting. Thanks for the constructive post though. -
Mounting cameras to a glass building?
aruegger replied to videoVIP's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
The only decent suggestion I don't see here would be to use high quality suction cup mounts with industrial glass epoxy, (Loved the magnet idea btw) but non-drilled mounts are always risky especially depending on the location & environment of the job. As mentioned I would make sure your employer understands the risks of any unconditional method. good luck. -
Question for Pelco Digital Sentry DVR
aruegger replied to aruegger's topic in Digital Video Recorders
>< I feel dumb, it was just my software that was out of date. The tech guys on Pelco's community provided the same answer..they also said it could be a bandwidth problem for anyone who finds this thread with the same issue. Thanks for the help. Always make sure your software is up to date before posting! -
Pelco Security camera placement software- FREE!
aruegger replied to diyengineer's topic in System Design
I use that too! I also like this one, helpful for people relatively new to the industry -> http://www.pelco.com/sites/global/en/sales-and-support/downloads-and-tools/tools/lens-calc.page Add in dimensions and lens type and it tells you what area size will be in view without having to do set up testing. Hopefully I'll be experienced enough one day to just know, but so far its been very helpful. -
Hello All, I have a Pelco Digital Sentry SRV version 7.2.46 connected to 8 Spectra Mini's in my factory and have noticed a reoccurring glitch/error..The live video pauses about every 5 minutes for a brief time and then will jump back to displaying the live feed..I believe all software is up to date and all components are properly installed. Anyone got any ideas?

I'm telling you man go ask one of Pelco's tech guys on their community - www.pelco.com/community - they are very helpful. I was gonna try to float your question over there because I feel for you, but this thread is so long and I don't understand some of what your saying > -
