    Please design my system

i would look into MOBOTIX for best low light night shots but you will still need good lighting to ID any thing. For day shots look at AXIS or ACTI. Just remember the higher MP cams need more light and work best in the day and will cost you alot more storage space. sorry i cant help more im just getting started in all this maybe someone else on here can chim in.

    cctv setup help please

Can someone please suggest a hard drive http://www.pricewatch.com/hard_removable_drives/ And one other thing the KCM 7311 says 8 fps at 2032 x 1920 resolution (1422 TV lines) and the KCM 5211E says 8 fps at 2032 x 1920 resolution (1650 TV lines) So if there the same resolution why not the same amount of TV lines?

    cctv setup help please

Okay than so. I have decided to get 2 of the ACTI box cams KCM-5211E mounted on a 20 foot pole for the driveway gate and shed and 3 ACTI KCM-7311 dome cams for the back yard and house. Iv also decided to use Vitamin D for alerting and will address lighintg issues after i install the cams for IR use. As for video storage management i guess ill just use the free ACTI NVR software and get a hp computer with i7. BUT! how much space am i ganna need with these 4 megapixel cams recording 24/7?
