Blue Iris Socket Error - Hikvision OEM - Wrightwood
MoridinTX replied to icamera's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I have two of the NC-KDO32 in my system with BI and have not seen that problem yet. One of my cameras is acting a little funny, but it has not dropped offline yet. It's hard to explain what it is doing. At random times, it looks like the camera switches WDR on and off every second for different durations of time. I also have an ACTI E44 that works great. I just installed two more NC-KDO32 cameras at my moms, with BI and no issues at her place as of yet. Might be a camera issue? -
Warning on Firmware Updates - Hikvision/Derytech
MoridinTX replied to buellwinkle's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
My dome cameras from DeryTech have model numbers NC-KDO32 and have the same firmware version you list above. I am guessing your cameras are bullets? -
Software or Stand alone NVR for Hikvision

BI has a phone app that users seem pretty happy with. I haven't used it, but you could ask over at the BI community forum, cam-it.org. BI has a demo version, but I don't think the app does. BI does send push notifications. I have it sending notifications to my iPhone and iPad, every time an alert is triggered at my front door. The BI app is $9.99 I think, for Apple or Android. -
I'm looking for a 4ch encoder that won't give me problems
MoridinTX replied to easytim's topic in General Digital Discussion
I have used DVTEL encoders in the past with great results. The trk4000d was the model number. I don't have any experience with these, but they may be worth a look. Pelco 5404T. -
Planet NVR & IP Cameras?
MoridinTX replied to MoridinTX's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Howdy buellwinkle, I had to call the manufacturer as well. I had never heard of them. As you suggest, they are a new product. I was hoping that someone else would have heard of them. I am not sure I want to be the first to pull the trigger on these.... I won't post actual pricing per the rules, but I have been seeing the NVR-810 go around ~$650, the 2MP camera for ~$410, and the 3MP camera for ~510. Thanks for the suggestions on the brands, there are so many to look at / weed thru / it is hard to make a selection. -
Howdy, Found the site a couple days ago and have been reading a lot. Thanks for all the great information thus far. I want to add an NVR and IP cameras to my home. My intent is to add a 3MP camera on my entryway, and some 2MP cameras on each corner of the house, due to cost constraints. I found a few places selling a brand that I have not seen mentioned here, Planet. Does anyone have any familiarity with the Planet NVR-810, the ICA-HM136 2MP IP Mini Dome, or the ICA-5350V 3MP IP Mini Dome? Manufacturers site (www.planet.com.tw) for reference to what I am talking about. And, no I am not affiliated in anyway with Planet. Any other recommendations for home NVR/IP Camera system that is not overly expensive. By that I mean NVR < $800 and IP Cameras < $600. Or am I being unrealistic with those price ranges? Thanks for any input help.
